A little shout-out to Team Willow & Team Benji! 💜
These are the moments that remind us why we love what we do!
Team Willow came to us already having some awesome training under their belt with our good friend and colleague Better Together Animal Training LLC. They reached out to see if we could help with a little matchmaking and explore whether Willow might be able to safely enjoy the company of other dogs, with the possibility of dog friends and play in her future.
Enter Team Benji! Benji is one of our favorite helpers, thanks to his dad being kind enough to lend us a paw during sessions. At this point, Benji is basically on payroll. 😉
We took things slow. Parallel walking, getting comfortable through a fence for some protected contact, and gradually working toward interactions with muzzles in place. Every step was intentional, with Willow and Benji's comfort and communication guiding the process.
And today? Willow and Benji played together for the first time! Play bows, zoomies, spins, and all the happy chaos that comes with two dogs having a genuinely good time together.
Watching dogs get to be dogs is incredibly rewarding. Even more so when we get to work alongside patient, thoughtful guardians who understand that progress takes time and that the little steps matter just as much as the big milestones.
And honestly, there's something extra special about seeing a dog like Benji, who has helped us support other dogs, become part of another dog's success story. It's a full-circle moment that makes our hearts happy.
This is what we're all about at A Dog's Tale: meeting dogs where they are, building skills at their pace, and creating opportunities for success through thoughtful, individualized training and a supportive community.
A HUGE shout-out to Team Willow, Team Benji, Better Together Animal Training, and our training assitant Kyriea for being part of this journey. We love seeing good people and good dogs supporting one another.
