Meet Jane.
Hi, my name is Jane. I was rescued by Darlene when she found me in a stall skinny and covered in manure. Darlene begged the owners to let her take me and one little pittiful c**t. (Of course Darlene believes in not saying bad things to them (people] to try to get the animals out of a bad situations!) They agreed and when I arrived at Double DAB Riding Stable, I was given a clean stall and all the hay I could eat. I was a very scared yearling it took some time to feel like I was safe. With time, loving care and treatment, cuz I had proud flesh on my right hind leg, Dr. Darlene, had to remove the proud flesh and wrap it for months. This made me gentle and trusting toward people. I had not seen the outside in months to run and stretch now I love it here so much. I knew I just had to be the best horse so I did everything that was asked of me. I am a reliable trail horse — steady, calm, and always ready. I am 30 years old now and retired living the rest of my life here. Good things do happen!, thank you Darlene for fighting for me!

I go by many names, Silhouette, Silly, Sihou-wetta. I was blessed to be born here Double D.A.B. Riding Stable I am 31 years old now!
Darlene bought my mother out of a kill pen, mom was marked as dangerous, can't be ridden! Well she got a new home at Double DAB Riding Stable and got a new name too Mighty High. Darlene trained my momma, broke her to ride and she had 13 foals. I was the 2nd foal. I turned out to be a filly and became an exceptional big solid appaloosa mare. I am a favorite mare of the barn. Anyone can ride me as I am a been there done that kind of horse. I am now retired in this beautiful Sanctuary that I have called home for 31 yrs. I am trying to take it easy watching the younger horses taking trails. (I keep dreaming of the trails)
