This month, we’re celebrating the incredible service dogs who help their handlers live safer, more independent lives every day. ❤️

🦮 Assist with mobility and daily tasks
🦮 Guide people who are blind or visually impaired
🦮 Alert to certain medical conditions
🦮 Provide support for veterans and others with disabilities

How can we respect a working service dog?
🚫 Don’t pet, call to, feed, or distract them.
✅ Give them space and let them focus on their important job.

Service dogs aren’t simply pets—they are highly trained working partners. When you see one, remember: they’re working, even when they look like they’re just being a dog. 🐕‍🦺💙

Blind dogs may see the world differently, but they can still live happy, active and loving lives. ❤️ They adapt amazingly well using their incredible sense of smell and hearing.

A few simple ways to help a blind dog feel safe:
• Keep furniture and surroundings consistent
• Use familiar scents, sounds or textures as guides
• Talk to them before touching them so they aren’t startled
• Give them time and patience as they learn their surroundings

Blindness doesn’t stop a dog from enjoying life—it just means they experience it a little differently. 🐶💜
