Tabby's Place: a Cat Sanctuary Tabby's Place is a cage-free sanctuary that provides refuge to cats in hopeless situations. Tabby’s Place rescues cats from hopeless situations.

We embrace the neediest cats regardless of age, most medical issues, or temperament, making us a harbor of hope for the most desperate. Most of our cats go on to be adopted; but those who aren’t find a loving home for life at Tabby’s Place. Unique Features of our Sanctuary:
• Free-roam shelter with communal living environments for cats, with plenty of horizontal and vertical space for exercise and play.
• Outdoor enclosures for cats to enjoy fresh air and sunlight.
• Accommodates cats with a variety of health or behavioral issues.
• Accommodates FeLV+ and FIV+ cats.
• Contains an in-house medical facility.
• Uses specialized materials to facilitate cleaning and encourage a disease-free environment.

Tonight, the beloved pets we’ve lost return to visit.

Dia de Mu***os de las Mascotas, the first night of Day of the Dead celebrations, when it is said that our pets come back to visit the homes they shared with us in life.

We’ve converted our memorial wall into an ofrenda to honor those we’ve lost.

You don’t need a whole altar, though! A simple display of a photo will do. Then light a candle and leave an offering of your pet’s favorite treats or toys to welcome them.

October 27 is de Mu***os de las Mascotas, or Day of the Dead for Pets.

It is believed that on this night, deceased pets will return to visit the homes that brought them comfort in life.

Those who observe this tradition set up ofrendas, or altars, to and welcome their beloved lost pets with photos and items that their pet enjoyed when they were alive.

Here at Tabby’s Place, we’ve lost so many feline friends. We keep a memorial wall in one of our hallways to honor their memory year-round.
