--->Customized Cutting Horse Training:

1.)We prefer breaking and starting your 2 year old on cattle. Our program emphasizes quiet, well broke horses that understand how to relate to the movement of a cow. We do, however, train a number of horses each year that we do not break. We give these horses time to adapt to our program before proceeding with their training.
2.) Honest evaluation of each horse. Three, four, five, and six year old horses trained and conditioned for limited aged events year around. We provide a full staff at the cutting events so that your experience can be an enjoyable one.
3.)We will take you and your horse to weekend cuttings. Weekend cutting is the best way to learn to show a cutting horse.

Clinics are designed for 3 or 4 people. Get individual help with your showmanship skills. Fix your problem horse. Learn to tune your horse for the show. Make sure your horse fits you.

For a guy who roped in the ’60s and ’70s, it was pretty special to watch this rodeo from behind the chutes and on the grass. Thank you, Bruce Keller, his wife, Deb, and their granddaughter, Naomi, for the opportunity!

Ever wonder what a True Grit Clinic is really like?

You work your cattle as if you’re in the show pen. After each cow, we stop and talk through what you did well, what you could have done differently, and how that cow would score.

When your run is done, we look at your overall score and the adjustments that could make it even better. It’s a chance to practice, get honest feedback, and walk into your next show with more confidence.

When 9/11 happened, we were at a cutting in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Today, 25 years later, we’re at a cutting in Ada, Oklahoma, surrounded by family and friends.

So much has changed since that day, but one thing remains the same—the horse continues to bring all of our worlds together. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Junior Ogle.

This Saturday, Junior would have celebrated his 102nd birthday.

Junior was a true man of God, a beloved mentor, and a treasured family friend. He was the first to honor Christ on Sunday mornings in New Mexico—whether gathered around the breakfast table, standing in the backyard, or sitting at the gate before we penned cattle.

His most famous sermon, “Fill Your Gap!” became the inspiration for the sign at Junior’s Gate, where we still pen cattle today.

Junior’s faith and influence will continue to live on in each of us. He was—and always will be—the cornerstone of Church at True Grit. We will miss him dearly, but we are forever grateful for the lessons, love, and faith he shared with us.

Junior’s services will be held at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday 9/5/26 at Ringling First Baptist Church.

A meal will be provided for family and friends following the service, and desserts are needed. If you would like to provide a dessert, please bring it to the church office before noon on Friday or on Saturday morning.

Please keep Junior’s family and loved ones in your prayers during this difficult time.

Happy heavenly 102nd birthday, Junior. Your legacy will live on forever. ❤️🙏
