She’s not such a little girl anymore… and seeing her now absolutely melts our hearts. 🥹🐾

Andora—now Rory—attended her very first Virginia Tech tailgate today! 🏈 And just look at that happy face! She’s grown so much and is clearly loving life with her family. She’s sweet, happy, soaking up all the attention, and exactly where she belongs.

These are the moments that make every hard day worth it. Andora’s happy ending happened because people cared. 🥰

Now there are more dogs waiting for their story to have the same ending.

👑 Empress Update! ❤️

Our sweet Empress is coming out of her shell, and we couldn't be happier to see it! 🥹

This beautiful 7-month-old Australian Shepherd mix is discovering that being a dog can actually be pretty fun—especially when you have doggy and kitty friends to show you the way! 🐶🐱

Empress is still unsure about people, but she’s learning that humans can be friends, too. She just needs someone who will be patient, respect her pace, and let her decide when she’s ready to come say hello. She’ll become your friend… just on Empress time. 😂👑

✨ A few things we love about this girl: 🐾 LOVES her dog and cat friends
🐾 Learning confidence from her furry companions
🐾 Doing extremely well with potty training
🐾 AMAZING in her crate
🐾 Sleeps quietly in her crate for hours
🐾 Very food motivated—this girl LOVES to eat! 😂
🐾 Starting to discover toys and desperately wants to understand what the hype is about!
🐾 Goofy, sweet and absolutely adorable
🐾 Her favorite time of day? After potty time, when foster mom gets back into bed for cuddle time. ❤️

Empress did meet a 10-year-old child, and the excitement of a new puppy was simply too much for her. She remained frightened throughout the visit, so we feel a home with children 15+ would be the best fit for her right now.

What Empress really needs is a confident, friendly doggy sibling who can continue showing her that the world isn't so scary—and that being a dog is SO much fun! 🥰

She isn't the dog who will immediately run up and greet everyone. She needs someone who understands that earning her trust will take time—but watching her blossom will be worth every second. ❤️

When you’ve had multiple flea baths, a long night, and your whole world turned upside down, sometimes you just can’t make it to bedtime… 😂💔

This little guy was so exhausted after his first night of rescue that he literally fell asleep in his kibble. 🥹💙

From covered in fleas and desperately needing help… to safe, warm, fed, and sleeping peacefully in his foster home.

This is what rescue looks like.
And this is why we keep showing up. 🐾❤️‍🩹

💔 We need to be honest… we are tired. We are stretched. And lately, the puppies just keep coming.

But you know what scares us even more?

The thought of getting that next call… and not having the resources to say YES.

Because lately, the puppies who have needed us haven’t just needed a safe place.

They’ve needed everything.

🐢 The Ninja Turtle Litter came to us with Parvo. We sadly lost one precious baby, and spent over $1,300 fighting to save the rest.

🧀 The Chippettes were found living in a WV drain pipe after their mom was tragically hit by a car. They were covered in hundreds — possibly thousands — of fleas and loaded with internal parasites.

🤠 The Toy Story boys arrived from rural SWVA absolutely covered in fleas and ticks. They were also battling internal parasites.

And now we have three more tiny babies, just 2–4 pounds each, who are severely infested with fleas and internal parasites.

Their little bodies are struggling under the weight of parasites feeding off of them. 💔

And still… we said YES.

Because that’s what rescue does.

We bathe them.
We deworm them.
We treat them.
We feed them.
We hold them.
We fight for them.

And we pray we have enough to keep doing it.

But here’s the hard truth:

Rescue cannot run on hope alone.

Every time we say yes, there is a cost.

Vaccines.
Dewormer.
Capstar.
Flea & tick prevention.
Food.
Medical care.
Supplies.

And when the emergencies keep coming, those costs add up FAST.

We don’t want to wait until we have a critically sick puppy in our arms to start begging for help.

We want to be ready BEFORE they arrive.

That’s why we desperately need monthly Rescue Partners. ❤️

We received the most adorable pupdate from his new family, and our hearts are melting! 😍

Just look at this handsome boy living his best life! From rescue pup to spoiled family member, Blackjack has clearly found exactly where he belongs. ❤️ And it looks like he even has a little matching sidekick for his adventures! 😂🐒

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our rescue dogs thriving in their forever homes. This is what rescue is all about! 🥹

💙 JAXSON IS READY FOR HIS FOREVER FAMILY! 💙

Remember when we told you Jaxson was a little timid? Well… not anymore! 🥰

Jaxson has really come out of his shell in his foster home. He’s not going to jump all over you the second he meets you, but he’ll come right up to you and warms up quickly. Once he feels comfortable, you’ll see what a sweet, easygoing guy he really is. ❤️

And guess what? Jaxson would be perfectly happy as your one-and-only dog! 🐶 He enjoys playing with his foster siblings, but it’s not something he needs constantly. He’s actually really good at entertaining himself and is perfectly content to lay around chewing on a toy or a hard chew.

He’s learning that toys are FUN, although so far his favorite part seems to be… CHEWING THEM! 😂

We’d describe Jaxson as low-to-medium energy. He enjoys playing, but he’s just as happy to settle down and relax. He’s the kind of dog who can enjoy some fun and then happily kick back with his favorite chew. 💙
