Some say, "Go big or go home," so we decided to challenge ourselves. This is the back of our newest piece of layered art. It's 8 layers, measures 10.5" x 15" and it's made of birch, cherry, walnut, maple, oak, sapele, and red cedar. We lost count at 40 hours, and it consists of over 2500 individual cuts, some as thin as the width of a pencil lead. Can anyone guess what the theme is? Comment below! Hint... We installed this commissioned piece for our client yesterday and he couldn't have been happier with it. Look at that grin! He saw our new layered wall art bear and said, "I have to have one! Can you make it bigger?" Well of course we said we'd give it our best shot! He was pleased to be a part of the process, including picking the colors he wanted to use to compliment his decor. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Ken Pezzella for your input and your support! It was a pleasure to work with you on this project and we look forward to the next one!
