Hello hello everyone!
We’re baaaaack!
Full time hours are back!

Tuesday-Thursday 10am-2pm and 5pm-7pm

Fridays 12pm-6:30pm

Weekends will possibly still be on call as we adjust to having a new member in the family!

STARTING FEBRUARY 💕

Hours for January will stay the same

Starting February, some days we may be there cleaning tanks or getting orders in, if we’re not there when you go we’ll gladly run over!

Getting ready for your New Christmas Tank? Let us help you with some important info! The perfect time is now to be ready in time for Santa to bring the fish!

🎄🐳 A VERY FISH-MAS TANK SETUP!
Before Fish Come Home for Christmas…
Good fish keepers know:
Waiting = Happy Fish! ❤️

🧑‍🎄 STEP 1: Set Up the Tank
✔️ Add water
✔️ Add gravel, plants & decorations
✔️ Turn on the filter & heater
🎁 Fish need clean, warm water to stay healthy!

⏰ STEP 2: WAIT PATIENTLY! (This Is Important!)

🗓️ Let the tank run 7–14 DAYS
🌀 Filter ON the whole time
🌡️ Temperature steady

❗ New tanks need time to grow good bacteria that keep fish safe.

No waiting = sick fish 😢

🐳 STEP 3: Acclimation Time!

When it’s finally fish day…
🎈 Float the fish bag in the tank
⏱️ Wait 15–20 minutes
💧 Add a little tank water to the bag
⏱️ Wait a few minutes and repeat
🎄 This helps fish feel calm and cozy!

🐟 STEP 4: Welcome Home, Fishy!

✔️ Gently place fish into the tank
❌ Don’t pour store water into the tank
🎉 Fishy Christmas move-in complete!

❤️ WHY DO WE WAIT & ACCLIMATE?

🐠 Fish can get stressed easily
🌡️ Sudden changes can hurt them
🫧 Slow changes keep fish happy and healthy

🎄 FISH-MAS RULES TO REMEMBER

⭐ Set up the tank FIRST
⭐ Wait 1–2 weeks before adding fish
⭐ Always acclimate slowly
⭐ Happy tank = Happy fish!ime

🎄🐳 How to Acclimate Your New Freshwater Fish

So they stay happy, healthy, and ready for their new home!

1️⃣ Float the Bag (10–15 minutes)

Place the unopened fish bag gently into the tank.
✨This lets the water inside the bag slowly match the temperature of the tank
✨super important so the fish doesn’t get shocked!

2️⃣ Add a Little Tank Water

After the bag warms up, open it carefully.
Add a small cup of tank water into the bag.
This helps the fish get used to your tank’s water little by little!

3️⃣ Wait 5–10 More Minutes

Let the bag sit again.
Your fish is now adjusting to new temperature, pH, and water chemistry
✨just like warming up before swimming!

4️⃣ Gently Release the Fish

Use a net to scoop the fish from the bag into the tank.
✨Try not to pour bag water into the aquarium — it keeps the tank cleaner and safer.

5️⃣ Let Them Explore!

Give your fish quiet time to swim around and learn their new home.
No feeding for the first 1–2 hours so they can relax.

⭐ Why Acclimating Is Important
• It prevents temperature shock
• It helps reduce stress
• It keeps your fish healthy and happy
• It gives them the best start in their new home!
