We’re delighted to share that Lessley Burke has accepted the role of Ridgebury Farm’s Director of Volunteering and Engagement!

In this volunteer role, Lessley will lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support, helping people find meaningful ways to contribute their time and talents. She will also help coordinate and deliver barn training and provide ongoing support for our barn volunteers, ensuring they feel confident, prepared, and supported in their work. Working closely with our team, she will connect volunteers with the needs of our programs and strengthen relationships with individuals, families, and community groups.

Lessley brings a lifelong love of horses and extensive experience in teaching, leadership, and community service. A Smith College graduate, she spent more than a decade in book publishing before pursuing metalsmithing and jewelry design. After fourteen years teaching, leading the metals program, and serving on the board at Brookfield Craft Center, she opened Guilded Lynx, her teaching studio in Ridgefield. She is also a certified yoga instructor and has cared for horses at her own nearby farm for more than thirty years.

As a Ridgebury Farm Board Member and active volunteer, Lessley already contributes to so many parts of life at Ridgebury—from helping in the barn to assisting during therapy sessions. What makes her invaluable is the combination of experience, generosity, and willingness to roll up her sleeves, help, and teach in every role she takes on. She understands the work firsthand and brings the same care to supporting our people that she brings to our horses and programs.

We are so grateful that Lessley is volunteering her time and expertise in this expanded role, and we’re excited to see our volunteer community grow under her leadership. Please join us in congratulating her and feel free to reach out to her if you would like to get more involved!

We’re putting the finishing touches on an unforgettable evening at the Farm, and only a very limited number of tickets are still available.

Join us THIS SATURDAY, October 3rd from 6pm-9pm, for A Tomorrow Worth Growing — celebrating five years of changing lives and making a difference together, honoring Lessley Burke and Anne Rudick-Lowe, and the community that has helped Ridgebury grow over the past five years.

Come experience the 1920’s Ridgebury Speakeasy, our 50’s Ridgebury Diner featuring a special dessert from Flobee’s Roadside Stand, Mod Elixirs Mocktails in the 60’s and 70’s, and Colony Grill next to the NYC Central Perk Cafe. Dinner by Paul Gileno will be served at each of these stations, as well as passed throughout the evening, with allergy friendly options available.

We are so thrilled that ILLUSTRATOR DEANNA FIRST , the highly-acclaimed portrait artist to the stars will be joining us to create custom quick portraits of our guests for the evening!

We have curated an incredible selection of one of a kind auction items and will have an exciting and impactful paddle-raise where each dollar will all go directly to support our GROW Program which creates scholarships for those who need these life changing therapies most.

We are so pleased to announce that Haley Levesque is stepping into the role of Chief of Staff at Ridgebury Farm!

Since joining us at the beginning of 2023, Haley has been an integral and irreplaceable part of the farm. She started in the barn teaching lessons of all levels, and has worked across our programs, bringing care and attention to every detail of the client experience.

In her new role, Haley will be the hub that keeps things moving, organized and continuously improving. She'll coordinate priorities across the farm, strengthen communication between teams, and support the people and programs that bring our mission to life.

We’re so excited to welcome the incredibly talented Artist Deanna First to Ridgebury Farm, where she’ll be creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind portraits for our guests throughout the evening.

There’s something so special about having a moment from a night like this captured by hand, and we can’t wait to see Deanna bring her artistry to the Farm for our 5th Annual Fête.
