🐾❤️ OUR HEARTS ARE BIG, BUT OUR SPACE AND FUNDS ARE NOT! ❤️🐾

This is never an announcement we want to make, but 2nd Chance Animal Rescue is temporarily closing all animal intakes. 💔

We are completely full, and our funds are running dangerously low. Right now, we have to focus on caring for the animals already depending on us.

🐶🐱 BUT HERE’S THE GOOD NEWS!

Be on the lookout for SPECIAL ADOPTION DAYS with discounted adoption fees! 🎉🐾

We have so many wonderful animals just waiting for their forever families, and every adoption opens a space for another animal in need when we’re able to resume intakes!

❤️ How can you help?
🐾 Adopt a furry friend!
🐾 Donate if you’re able!
🐾 Share our posts to help our animals find homes!

We hate having to say no, but we have to do what’s best for the animals in our care.

Thank you for continuing to support our little rescue with a BIG heart! ❤️🐾

🚨 EMERGENCY CAT TOWER SITUATION! 🚨

Apparently, Heath Cliff has decided he is now a professional stunt cat. 😹

He has taken up residence on our VERY broken cat tower and seems completely unaware that it has seen better days. We’re pretty sure OSHA would have some serious questions. 😂

Heath Cliff says, “It’s fine. I got this.”
The tower says, “Please… let me go.” 💀

We would LOVE to get our spoiled little man a new cat tower so he can continue his climbing, lounging, and general cat nonsense without us holding our breath every time he jumps on it. 😂

🐾 Would anyone like to donate a new cat tower for Heath Cliff and his fellow kitty climbers? 🐾

We promise it will be well-loved, well-used, and probably destroyed eventually because… CATS. 😹❤️

If you’d like to help, send us a message or check out our wishlist. Every donation helps us keep our rescue babies happy, comfortable, and entertained! 🐾

Heath Cliff thanks you in advance for saving him from his questionable real estate. 😂🏠🐈

🐾❤️ COMMUNITY WORK DAY = A WHOLE LOT OF PAWSOME HELP! ❤️🐾

We are SO incredibly thankful to the amazing employees from Hill’s Pet Nutrition who came out for Community Work Day and put in some serious WORK at 2nd Chance Animal Rescue! 🙌

First up… our storage container. 😳 Let’s just say it was a disaster waiting to happen. They jumped right in, organized everything, cleaned it up, and got us ready for winter! ❄️📦 We can actually find things again! 😂

Then they got to work on something our kitties are going to LOVE — our NEW CATIO! 🐱🏡 They worked hard helping us build it so our cats can safely enjoy some fresh air, sunshine, and outdoor time. We cannot wait to see those happy faces enjoying their new space! 🐾☀️

And we couldn’t have gotten everything done without some incredible community partners:

🚛 Gorilla Discount Roofing — THANK YOU for loaning us your dump trailer!

🪨 All About Asphalt — THANK YOU for helping us move all that sand and gravel for the catio!

And a HUGE THANK YOU to the entire Hill’s Pet Food team for giving your time, energy, and muscle to help our rescue! 💕 What may have been just another work day for you means so much to the animals in our care.

We are incredibly grateful for a community that continues to show up for the animals who need us most. 🐶🐱❤️

From our messy storage container and muddy catio construction site… THANK YOU for helping us make 2nd Chance a better place for our animals! 🐾

Meet Zeb! This sweet 4-year-old loves attention & believes every visitor is there just to see him. He loves pets, treats, head boops and giving the sweetest little kisses. Zeb gets along with other cats, tolerates dogs, and can handle some rambunctious kids. Most of all, he’s looking for a warm lap and a loving family to call his own!

💕 Meet Ethel! 💕

This sweet girl has quite the story! Ethel is about 5 months old and was found hiding up inside someone’s car! Apparently, she was looking for a warm, cozy place to hang out and accidentally found herself a ride instead.

When Ethel first came to us, she was a little shy and unsure. But with some love, patience, and plenty of attention, she has really come out of her shell! Now she’s discovering that getting attention and being loved on is actually pretty awesome.

Now Ethel is ready for her next adventure… finding her forever home!

She’s traded her hiding spot in a car for hopes of a comfy bed, a loving family, and a lifetime of being spoiled.

Ethel is ready to meet her forever family! Help us find the people who will love this sweet girl as much as we do.

And Ethel… we have one request: Please stay out of the cars from now on.

😂 ATTENTION: WE HAVE A PHOTOGRAPHY EMERGENCY! 😂

Do you know how hard it is to get a decent picture of a 4-month-old kitten?!

Princess Donut has apparently decided that standing still for 2.5 seconds is beneath her royal status. 👑🐱

Every time the camera comes out, she’s like:
📸 “Oh, you want a picture?”
💨 WIGGLE
😼 “How about a blurry one?”
💨 TURN AROUND
🐾 “WAIT! I have an even better idea…”
💥 ATTACKS THE CAMERA

But underneath all that kitten chaos is one sweet, fluffy little girl who is ready to find her forever family. ❤️

Princess Donut is about 4 months old, full of personality, and ready to trade her rescue accommodations for a FOREVER HOME where she can continue her career as a professional troublemaker. 😂

👑 Princess Donut is accepting applications for her forever family!

Come meet her… if you can catch her long enough to get a picture. 🤣🐾💕
