Rizzo has a request and she’s willing to work for it. 😀

She can shake (well… she raises her paw because she prefers not to have it touched) and she definitely knows how to speak. Being mostly Husky, she’s got plenty to say!

Every dog before Walter taught me something.

Some lessons were easy. Some came with heartbreak.

When Walter came along, I knew I wanted to do things differently. Not because I think my way is the only way, but because I took what I learned from the dogs before him and made the choices that felt right for us.

Food. Vaccines. Training. Keeping him intact. Even something as simple as riding safely in the car.

These are the decisions I made after years of loving (and learning from) dogs.

I know some of these topics can be controversial, and that’s okay. The goal isn’t to convince everyone to do things exactly like I do; it’s to encourage you to ask questions, research, and make informed choices for your own dogs.

Thirsty Thursday

If your pet eats kibble, this is one of the easiest wellness upgrades you can make.

Kibble contains very little moisture compared to a fresh food diet. Simply adding water or an onion-free broth and let it soften the kibble can help increase hydration while making mealtime more enjoyable.

It doesn’t have to be fancy. Even plain water is a great place to start.

Try adding a splash to your pet’s dinner tonight and see what they think.
