Day 13 of no ear tapes!

We always get asked how long ear taping lasts for, it always depends on the style of the crop and genetics of the dog. In the last 17 years we have had dobies with medium crops that stood in 6-8 weeks, and long crops that stood in 8-11 weeks. With Nova we opted for a show crop and only taped for 13.5 weeks. Some dobies may have to tape for a shorter or longer amount of time.

Consistency is key with post ear crop care!!! We use both the backer rod method and the zip tie method, both have great success. A big thank you to for such a beautiful crop!

We are thankful to report the dogs and house are okay after an EF1 tornado hit yesterday. View was from our second story window of the rain wrapped tornado as it was approaching. (Yes, we hid downstairs in an interior room as it was passing). Thank you to everyone who reached out to check on us, we appreciate it.

Our thought and prayers to those who sustained major damages to their homes from the storm. If you are local and need assistance with your dog(s) due to storm damage, please reach out, we would love to help!
