Pets have a talent for turning everyday objects into snacks.

Socks, toys, corn cobs... the list goes on.

If you think your pet swallowed something they shouldn't have, don't wait.

When in doubt, head in. Reach out to your primary veterinarian or your local emergency vet if your pet has a foreign body. We are here for you if they need surgery.

Your pet:
"Wait... where did everyone go?"

A few extra toys and enrichment activities can help ease the transition.

August is National Immunization Awareness Month, making it a great time to check your pet's vaccination records.

Vaccines help protect pets from serious illnesses, but their needs can vary based on age, health, lifestyle, and travel habits.

Do you know when your pet's next vaccines are due? Contact your primary vet to schedule an appointment.

Road trips are more enjoyable when you're prepared for the unexpected.

Pack a pet first-aid kit, bring your pet's medical records, identify emergency veterinary hospitals along your route, and secure your pet properly before hitting the road. A little planning goes a long way toward keeping your furry companion safe and comfortable throughout the journey.

A few extra minutes in the heat can quickly become dangerous for pets. Heatstroke is a serious medical emergency that can develop faster than many pet owners realize. Watch for warning signs such as excessive panting, weakness, vomiting, drooling, or collapse.

The best protection is prevention. Keep pets hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day, and never leave them in a parked vehicle.

If you suspect heatstroke, please contact your local emergency vet immediately!

Today's featured cuddle expert: Eve 💕

Some patients bring smiles.
Some bring snuggles.
And some decide the best seat in the room is right on Dr. Sanada's shoulder.

Eve made herself right at home, and we have a feeling the feeling was mutual. 💕

See you next time for another Midweek Pet Break!
