Now streaming: The Lost Dogs 🎬

Sleep all day. Play all night. Find your pack.

Our SuBooRu playlist is officially live, and we’re kicking it off with a cult classic. These creatures of the night have been lurking around RAL, and they’re ready to steal your heart.

From Oct. 27–31, adoption fees are just $31 thanks to our friends at Hyman Bros. Subaru. On Saturday, Oct. 31, we’re taking the show on the road with a pop-up adoption event at the dealership, where adoptions are sponsored by Hyman Bros. Subaru.

One title down, more coming to the playlist soon. Don’t touch that remote.

We are getting low on Adult Cat Fancy Feast. If you'd like to help us stock Catland's shelves, we have wish lists with both Amazon and Chewy to have the food shipped directly to RAL. Or, if you'd prefer to shop in person and drop it off, we have a donation bin by the front door of our shelter at 11401 International Drive where donations can be dropped off at your convenience. Find our wish lists at ral.org/wishlist

The kitties say Thank you! (well, technically they just said meow, but we think that means thank you, they say it to us a lot).

Got a kid who loves animals, crafts, and learning new things? Creative Critters might be right up their alley 🐶🐱

We have some spots left in November if you're looking for a fun activity for your kiddo this Fall. Creative Critters teaches children about animal care and advocacy while making a craft geared toward pet enrichment.

It’s a great way for young animal lovers to spend time at RAL and learn more about helping pets.

This foster Friday we'd like you to meet Lexi and her very specific system for playtime.

Step one: take every single toy out of the box. Step two: scatter them across the floor. Step three: finally pick one. It's a bit quirky, but we have to respect her artistic process.

Lexi is a sweet, curious girl who is learning the world isn’t so scary after all. It took her a little while to work up the nerve to hop on the couch, and now it’s officially her spot. Once she feels comfortable, she loves exploring, lounging in the sunshine, chewing on toys, and showing off her zoomies. She’s doing well with house training and has settled beautifully into foster care.

Her secret weapon? Other dogs. Lexi really shines with a dog friend around and gains so much confidence from them. She’d thrive in a patient home with another friendly dog (or two!) to show her the ropes. She can still be a little nervous outdoors, so a fenced yard would be a nice bonus to help her feel secure.

If you’d love to adopt a dog in Richmond and cheer on a gentle girl as she comes out of her shell, visit ral.org/dogs to learn more about Lexi.

Every good cookout has that one guest who just wants to be where the people are. Meet Cook-Out. 🧡

This little guy loves hanging out with his people and being right in the middle of the action. He’s the perfect size to pull up next to you and keep you company. And like any cookout regular, he never says no to a snack. Give him a tasty treat and you’ll have one very happy little guy.

If you’re looking for a small dog who loves being by your side and will never skip a get-together, Cook-Out might be your guy. Learn more about him at ral.org/dogs
