Come Meet some adoptable pups at Ridge Dog Shop! This Saturday from 11-2pm. Ridge Dog shop helps us to give dogs a fresh start, with a clean cut and a fresh bath! We are grateful to them for their constant support, and excited for our event this weekend!

Meet June Highlight, Lil Debbie!

Lil Debbie came to our rescue in April of 2025. That’s right. An entire year in foster care. Lil' Debbie was previously owned by a man who became homeless. He did his best to care for her, but ultimately made the decision to surrender her to shelter. Unfortunately, that shelter was quite under resourced and must make the difficult decision to euthanize for space. Lil Debbie found herself on that list.

Lil Debbie is a lovely pup- she is snuggly, funny, cuddly and has a strange obsession with ugly orange toys! The more ugly and more orange the BETTER. She loves to go for walks with her people. She is house broken, crate trained and knows basic commands. She has tested well with low key dogs. She loves to play fetch, is great in the car and will play tug! She has done well with children 2 and up!

Lil Debbie has been stood up for meet and greets not once, not twice but THREE TIMES. She got a bath, new bandana, and was left waiting on the adopter that never came. We have no earthly idea why she isn’t adopted yet and we hope this month, we can find her person.

Being in rescue this long comes with it’s financial challenges. Lil Debbie has needed wellness exams, food refills, monthly preventatives, vaccine boosters, as well as lots of enrichment and toys during her year with us. Help us continue to save animals like Lil Debbie, and stick with them to find their forever family. No matter how long it takes. We cannot continue to save animals like her without your help.

🐾 New Month, New Hope for some of our older pups or longer residents🐾

A new month is here, and we are more determined than ever to find loving homes for the amazing dogs in our care.
Many of our adoptable dogs are over a year old, and some have spent more than a year waiting for a family of their own. While puppies often get the spotlight, these older dogs have so much love, loyalty, and companionship to offer.
Every day they wait is another day without a couch to call their own, a family to call their own, or a home to call their own.
This month, we're making it our mission to shine a light on these deserving dogs and help them find the forever homes they've been waiting for. Whether they've been with us for a few months or over a year, each one deserves a chance.
