Let’s give a warm welcome to Team Willow!

Little Miss Willow A.K.A ~ Willowgator
A.K.A ~Willowroo is joining us for level 1 obedience. Super smart girl and very eager to learn; but I think she part alligator and kangaroo😂

We will focus heavily on jumping, taking treats politely, general manners, obedience and impulse control. We will also, give her owner productive ways to give her an outlet and provide mental stimulation. If you ever owned a Labrador, you know that a bored Labrador is a mischievous Labrador.

I couldn’t just share one graduation picture. I had to share the many poses Cooper likes to offer😂

I’m so proud of how far this team has come. Cooper and I didn’t start off as buddies. He actually growled at me when I offered him a treat. Now, I get to give him tons of belly rubs 😂

Cooper’s family had to break up many dog fights between Cooper and the other dogs in the house over being territorial over food, toys and owner. He lacked boundaries, no impulse control and everything was fair game to him.

Now, Cooper will listen to everyone in the household. He can be called off high value resources. He has learned to respect rules, boundaries and personal space. He has become so much more pleasant in the home. He listens better than the other dogs.

Not only am I proud of Cooper; but his owner as well. She is so much more confident in her ability to handle and address unwanted behaviors. She is willing to take charge and do what is necessary for Cooper’s overall success.

Stopping unwanted behaviors and having firm rules doesn’t mean that your dog will be a robot and will shut down. Really it gives you the complete opposite. When you deal with the unwanted and unnecessary behaviors and mindset; you actually get to see your dog’s true personality. Life really opens up for them. They get to be have a fuller life with tons of adventures compared to before. The owner gets to enjoy them so much more.

Let’s welcome this beautiful little gal Ellie to Charlie’s!

Ellie’s owners haven’t had a puppy in quite some time. They want to make sure they are starting off on the right path.

Owning a puppy can be fun, exciting and frustrating all at once. Between this age and adolescence bad behaviors can start sn*******ng quickly.

We will cover the most essential parts of puppy training which will lay that solid groundwork. Then they can start building off of that with new skills.

Let’s congratulate Team Murphy on their completion of Level 1 basic obedience.

When Murphy first came to me, he was very high energy and would drag his owner around on the leash. He actually knocked her down with his pulling.

Murphy is so much calmer now. He will come into the training center and will automatically lay down and relax. He walks nicely on the leash now, which will make it pleasant for his owner to take him for walks. I’m very pleased of how far he has come. I look forward to getting updates on things at home in the future.

Let’s welcome Team Sami to Charlie’s!

Sami is not a fan of car rides, likes to pull on the leash, using the human as a bouncy board is a fav, has selective hearing and boundaries are more of a suggestion.

We have our work cut out for us but I’m excited to see the progress that has made since our evaluation. Stay tuned for updates.
