Hello Friends 🙂 Just want to provide an update on Nala, and sincerely thank everyone who has sent donations, shared my post, shown me kindness, and supported LiFELINE in any way, shape, or form recently It really has filled my heart with gratitude. I love how people and this community come together for a common goal. The donations weren’t quite enough to cover hospitalization but I’m still working towards that goal. My friend Vella Portis Osborne set up a GoFund Me campaign - so very sweet. Friends I went to high school with even showed up with unexpected donations. I am beyond blessed by you all. Every dollar counts.
Nala isn’t out of the woods yet, she showed some improvement and I was feeling hopeful that we were on the right track, but this evening her energy is low again and her chest congestion seems deep. I’ve been doing the oral antibiotics, sub q fluids (learned that from Denise by volunteering at Operation Catnip), nebulizer treatments, and coupage (this really helps a lot, btw), and keeping a humidifier close to her. How I know she isn’t feeling great…yesterday she fought like crazy when I did anything - today she just let me do whatever, with no real fight. I’m setting my alarm for every couple of hours to continue treatments.
