Episode 9 is live. 🐾

Bobo wears a bandana that says "Mama's Bodyguard." For the
first couple of years, it wasn't a joke.

Heather adopted him at two. Within hours he was her shadow,
and within weeks he had made himself head of security for a
house he'd just moved into. Fine at the vet. Fine on a walk.
But at home? He couldn't stop defending it, and Heather
stopped having people over.

Here's the thing about that bodyguard act: it was never
attitude. It was a job Bobo gave himself, and he was
exhausted from it. Nobody had told him he could clock out.

This episode is about teaching a protective dog that he's
off duty, and what that gives back to the person who loves him.

He still barks. He's still Bobo. But Heather has people over
now, and a dog who used to lunge at strangers spent a whole
morning kissing one on the nose.

The day Kyle showed up, Kristen met him at the door holding Pepper on a leash. Inside her own house. 🐾

His first thought: "You don't need her on a leash unless she's aggressive."

Their answer: "Yeah, she's going to bite you."

Pepper was a severe biter. Nothing they'd ever dealt with before. They'd already started talking about doggy daycare.

Then they found a card, made a call, and Kyle came out for an assessment. By the time he left, they knew:

"This is going to work."

Episode 8 is live, and this one's honest. 🐾

When Kristin and John brought Pepper home, she was a street
dog who didn't know how to sit and bit hard enough to draw
blood. Kristen almost took her back.

She's glad she didn't.

Here's what happened: Pepper's biting stopped in a little
over a week. Her separation anxiety? Still a work in progress,
and they say so, right on camera.

Because that's what real training looks like. Some things
resolve fast. Some things you keep working at. Neither one
means you failed.

What kept them going was something simple: "You can't give
up on them. We don't know what they've been through."

A dog who once drew blood is now asleep on the couch instead
of tearing it up. That's not a perfect ending. It's a real one.

Your dog can feel your nervous energy. 🐾

It's not in your head. It's cortisol, your stress hormone,
and dogs pick up on it.

Kyle's example: you're walking your dog and two big dogs
come toward you off leash. Something's going to come out
of you chemically. Your dog feels it before you say a word.

You can't fully control that. But you can breathe. You can
stand tall. You can lead.

Because when your dog knows YOU'VE got it, he doesn't have
to run the show. He gets to relax and just be a dog.

Meet Chico. 7 years old, 11 pounds, and nothing but
powerhouse joy. 🐾

He wasn't always this dog.

When Dawn and Joel got him, he wasn't potty trained.
He didn't know a single command. He knew exactly one
word: RIDE.

He'd spent his last six months crated, ballooned to
18 pounds, and people were telling them not to bother
trying.

They bothered.

We're back with Episode 7 🐾

When Dawn and Joel got Chico, people told them not to bother.

Seven years old. Not potty trained. Didn't know a single
command. He'd spent six months crated in his old home, then
six more in a kennel nobody pulled him from. He knew exactly
one word: ride.

They were told he'd never be potty trained.
They said, "We're not believing that."

Here's what a little leadership and a lot of patience did:
Chico went from a fearful, shut-down rescue to a confident,
affectionate dog who trusts the people around him.

And then he became something nobody could have predicted - the kind of dog who walks up to a crying child in a store, lays his head on her hand, and doesn't move until she stops.

No commands. No treats. Just patience. 🐾

Kyle gets flat on the floor and lets Violet decide when
she's ready. That's the whole method.

👉 And stay for the part most trainers get wrong: the
medication conversation. Kyle's take? "I stay in my lane.
I'm not a vet."

Same vet. Same dog. No medication — because the behavioral
work happened ALONGSIDE her vet, not instead of her vet.

Violet is still Violet — she'll still bark at the trash truck. That was never the goal. The goal was that Carla could read her.

It's here. The loudest July 4th in 250 years and it starts tonight.
Bark Busters National called it: FIVE STRAIGHT DAYS of celebrations, July 1-5. Bigger displays. More cities. More backyard fireworks lasting later into the night than any July 4th in a generation.

Even calm dogs are going to get pushed past their limit.
If your dog struggles with fireworks, here's what to do RIGHT NOW:
→ Safe interior room, away from windows
→ Curtains closed, TV or fan on to mask the booms
→ Double-check that ID tag and microchip info
→ Stay calm yourself - your dog reads YOUR energy

Don't over-comfort. Don't panic. Lead like nothing's wrong.
You've got this. Your dog's got you.
