Your dog trainer’s personal dogs should be the best reflection of their work. Period.

A trainer’s own dogs should be well-mannered, obedient, stable, and a clear example of the training they’re asking clients to trust. If a trainer is teaching leash manners, recall, neutrality, and impulse control—their own dogs should demonstrate that every day.

Because the truth is simple: the public should be able to see the difference.

A well-trained personal dog shows consistency, structure, follow-through, and real-life application—not just theory. It shows that the trainer lives what they teach and holds their own dogs to the same standard they ask of yours.

Training shouldn’t only look good during a session.
