Yesterday it was 88° (my car said 91) this morning it was high 70’s, I was doing yoga on my porch in a T-shirt!
And now… Snow, and a low of 28…

As thai year comes to a close i just want to say how incredibly thankful i am for each and every one of you. Being a young trainer and barn manager, this journey has been more to me than I can put in words and I am so grateful for the trust and support my clients and sponsors have shown me.
This year brought early morings and late nights, hot days and muddy boots, and more than our fair share of heartache. I have loved watching horses and riders grow. improve, and succeed together .... it is truly why I love what I do. None of it would be possible without my amazing clients who show up, give their best, and care so deeply for their horses.
Thank you all for being patient and supportive and for making this farm feel like a family, I appreciate you all more than you will ever know!!

Once a year the farm plays host to a dog show. What started during COVID continued this year.
Most of my horses have enough show experience that they're not worried about the extra actibity...... but my yearling has lead a quiet life up until now.....he's not sure what is going on!!

We have a special working student position open!✨
This is an opportunity for a young equestrian who wants an inside look into the business, and wants a future as a professional. If you are just looking to “work at a barn” it may not be the job for you. In my program you will get to experience the inside scoop, vets, farrier, management, occasionally auditing lessons, and have weekly educational projects (ex. Naming tendons, or what to do in certain emergencies) and of course lessons
However, it is not a position for the faint of heart. It is hard work with long hours and 6 days a week, that is why it is open to only those who want to pour their heart and soul into this future and be truly committed to the lifestyle
Job description includes but is not limited to-
Morning chores-bring in/turn out, feed, hay, water, blanketing as needed etc
Daily tasks around barn- tidying, grooming, possibly warm up riding for the right person, lunging, tack cleaning etc
Weekly chores- raking arena, cleaning hay shed, deep cleaning barn, washing saddle pads, scrubbing troughs(multiple times a week)

Some exciting news! Yesterday we welcomed this young gentleman to the family!
Spellbound SF “Crusoe” yearling Oldenburg gelding
A bittersweet moment as one door closes and another opens, but I can only hope that Danny is looking down on us and showing him the way 💗
The biggest heartfelt thank you to the people who brought us together, June, Lynn, and Amanda (I am so sorry I can’t actually tag you, so I hope this post reaches all of you!)

I want nothing more than to not have to make this post
Unfortunately this past Saturday morning I found my sweet boy Danny in the field

I am still not in a place to write a huge post about everything he meant to so many, I may never be, but I can say this
I am grateful for every moment with this horse, even if I took it for granted when he was with us
Danny has left a huge hole in our lives
The empty stall
The empty feed buckets
The empty halter
And I’d give a year of my life to have another day of his
There’s so much to say about Danny Boy, it’s honestly overwhelming. There hasn’t been one person who spent time with him and didn’t fall head over heels for him
There’s little worse than finding your beloved horse dead in a field without a chance to say goodbye
And I am so grateful to every person who has come to pay their respects to Danny and help me through this tragedy
I love my barn family for loving these horses the same way I do
And to everyone who has messaged me without getting a response, Thank you. I appreciate every one of you, I am just not yet in a place to speak with everyone

I ask for respect because right now we are all grieving the loss of an exceptional horse
My horses are my children and I would like some privacy to wrap my head around this

Danny, you are my light, goodbye sweet soul
