Baby Valentino pretty in purple 🥰

Better late than never post!
🥰 so very excited to share that we have a new addition to the family!
✨Valentino✨
He came to us on Thursday and we celebrated his first birthday yesterday 🎂

As many of you know, I lost my boy Danny a year ago. It has been a very hard time transitioning to life without him. Exactly 20 days after Danny left us, Valentino was born. AND he is Danny’s half brother, (same sire, Toronto) sharing a great resemblance in looks and personality

I had the truly amazing opportunity to get our (now 2 year old) Crusoe shortly after Danny passed away, and am grateful for the fact that he is very different, giving me time to heal and grow with him. I am so proud of Crusoe and beyond excited to see where we go❤️

But nearly a year later seeing that Valentino was still available, I just knew. I knew he was meant to be with me. And I have to say that he reminds me so much of our Danny boy, a bitter sweet feeling.

Valentino 🥂 here’s to growing together and welcoming you to our family of youngsters with big goals and dreams ❤️

Adding him to the herd comes with a lot of emotion, from human and horses. Whimsy, along with others, grieved for Danny in a way I have not seen before. And the moment Whimsy locked eyes on Valentino I swear he knew the baby carries a bit of his brother with him

So I want to thank everyone involved with bringing us together.

Our resident babysitter Chili, owned by Hannah Lujbli, took young Tux, owned by Tate Goff, all the way around the bridle path for the first time!

Green grass, spring flowers, and SNOW!
Yesterday it was 88° (my car said 91) this morning it was high 70’s, I was doing yoga on my porch in a T-shirt!
And now… Snow, and a low of 28…

Thank goodness our horses are warm and cozy inside
