A Bridgerton Belle Update 🎀

Our tiny Miss Eloise has entertained a few admirers, but it seems this little debutante is still waiting for the one.

This petite little lady is expected to mature around 5 lbs and has plenty of personality tucked into that tiny package.

Perhaps her perfect match simply hasn’t introduced themselves yet. 💙

So… what’s going on here? Well, first—find Ember. 👀
Do you see her? 😂
That’s Ember, tucked into her blankets and apparently quite comfortable with her accommodations.
When we’re away from home, this is how our dogs stay safe. Rather than traditional crates or kennels, each has their own play yard setup, with a bed, blankets, toys, water and plenty of room to move around.
It gives them their own safe little space while we’re gone without spending that time confined to a crate.
And Ember?
Apparently she believes the proper use of all that extra room is to curl herself into the smallest possible ball in the corner. 😂
All that real estate, Ember. ALL. THAT. REAL. ESTATE. 🤦‍♀️🤣

BREEDER MYTH MONDAY 🐾

“You should never get two puppies at once.”
Never? That’s a pretty big word. 😉
Two puppies at the same time isn’t the right choice for every family, but that doesn’t mean it’s automatically the wrong one.

The real question is whether you have the time and commitment to raise two individuals.
Separate training.
One-on-one attention.
Individual confidence building. And plenty of opportunities for each puppy to learn that the world is perfectly safe and fun without their little partner beside them.

Because the goal isn’t two puppies who can’t function without each other.
It’s two confident, well-adjusted dogs who also happen to adore growing up together. 🩷

For the right home, with the right expectations and the willingness to put in the individual work, raising two puppies together can be pretty wonderful.
So no, I don’t subscribe to the blanket “never get two puppies at once” rule.
I subscribe to know your family, know your puppies, and know what you’re committing to. 🐾
