Registration is officially open for this year’s event, and we’re excited to welcome all the youngsters out for an amazing day enjoying the outdoors. The day will be packed with fun, learning, and hands-on outdoor activities for our future hunters and conservationists.

Free lunch will be provided for all attendees.

Good time as always with some of the Krispy Kreme Club members this weekend in Emporia VA at the Atlantic Flyway HRC hunt test. Congratulations to Big Red for passing both days Seasoned tests and earning his HR title, and Tee and Tot just ran on Saturday earning another Seasoned pass. Kion and Riggins had a few hiccups at the Finished tests but on the bright side we were able to get to the bar before the crowds to celebrate Big Ds birthday so there’s a positive side to everything!

Final exercise (FINEX) for these two boys ahead of graduation! Field trip to Lowes! Hank and Brutus did great, Hank walked the aisles like a champ despite the people and activity. Brutus was quite the ladies man, everyone wanted to say hi and pet him but he did great with all the attention. Proud of both these pups and how far they’ve come while with us!

Last AKC hunt test for us this spring was with the Lumber River Retriever Club this past weekend. The young uns did well on some challenging tests. Dixie earned her final two Junior passes and JH title, Lainey earned another pass, and Nikki earned her first two passes. Proud of these pups and the work they put in. Graduation Day for this young Boykin from our gun dog program. Peggy has come a LONG way in the short time she was with us, steady to shot, swimming like a fish and making nice retrieves on land and water. This young pup needs time to mature before we get at it further and we look forward to her return in February. In the meantime I know her owner is happy to have his girl home!
