Cat Nap Lodge Cat Nap Lodge Community Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit cat rescue and foster home located between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek in Richland Michigan.

Please note, we schedule visitors by appointment to assure that a volunteer is available to greet you. Welcome to the Lodge:
Cat Nap Lodge is a small cat rescue located in Richland, MI. We are not a shelter, we are a home. The cats and kittens in the care of our volunteers are treated and cared for as members of our family, until they have a family of their own. Our mission is to reduce the homeless cat population by bringing the lost indoors and finding them loving homes as well as educating the community about the necessity of spaying and neutering their pets. Our number one priority is to provide our cats and kittens with quality and consistent medical care, nutrition and social enrichment within a loving home. Because we focus on the quality of our care, we limit the number of cats and kittens that we take in to those who need us the most. These include the dumpster babies, the found in a cardboard box babies, the orphaned and alone babies, and many other sad stories too numerous to count. We surround all of our cats and kittens with love, just as we would our own children. And then, when the right family comes along who will care for them and love them just as we have, we tearfully say goodbye. Our one consolation is that every time we adopt out a baby, we are able to take in another one who needs us. When you adopt a cat from Cat Nap Lodge you are saving two lives. The cat you are taking home and the one we take in after. We cordially invite you into our center to visit and play with our many feline family members. However, to avoid undue stress on the cats and visitors alike, appointments are required. So please call ahead to make an appointment.

❤️🐾 OUR MILLION-DOLLAR BABIES NEED YOU! 🐾❤️

Cookie and her six tiny babies—Truffle, Keebler, Samoa, Spritz, Linzer, and Biscotti—have already survived more than most kittens could ever imagine. 💔

First, they battled calicivirus. Then, at just FIVE WEEKS OLD, they fought for their lives against deadly panleukopenia. Just when we thought they could finally rest, sweet Samoa was diagnosed with FIP.

These precious babies are fighters, and we refuse to give up on them! ❤️ Samoa is beginning FIP treatment, but the cost of this lifesaving medical care is expected to be between $900 - $1,200. This is overwhelming to our small rescue.

🐾❤️ DO YOU REMEMBER ARCHIE? ❤️🐾

This handsome boy arrived at Cat Nap Lodge in January 2024 during a nasty cold snap. 🥶 Sadly, Archie had been found caught in a wire snare trap in the woods. 💔

After his rescue, Archie needed to have one of his legs amputated. But this brave boy didn't let that slow him down! 🐈💪 He made a wonderful recovery from his ordeal and found his forever home later that year. 🏡❤️

Today, we received an updated picture of Archie, and he is looking absolutely MEOWVELOUS! 😻✨ Seeing our former residents happy, healthy, and loved in their forever homes is one of the greatest rewards of what we do!
