Spring Break is right around the corner! We only have a couple boarding slots left available during that time frame here at Flat Collar K9 Training LLC!

Each dog has their own kennel run with a 5x5 indoor space with dog door access to an additional 5x5 outdoor space! Raised dog cot for comfort, 30 fenced in acres for activities/adventures and 24:7 monitoring.

You’ll receive photo and video updates during your pups stay and ease of communication for peace of mind during your travels.

Mr. Hex is on his was to Colorado with his mum Judy L Jones-York!!
Mrs. Judy and her wonderful Husband have been clients of ours for over 5 years when we originally started Flat Collar back in Germany! They had an absolutely gorgeous GSD, Xato, that we trained, who very unfortunately recently passed away, and they were finally ready for another.
He is off to the life of luxury and we are so blessed to have had a full circle moment all these years later to provide them with another companion.
Although Xato will neve be replaced, we just hope that Hex can bring furry joy and comedy back into your lives.

*** WE HAVE 2 AMAZING DOGS READY FOR THEIR NEW 🏡 ***

Rare opportunity- Mr. Hex! He is a detection dog drop out. He unfortunately failed Police K9 evals as he decided camp couch was a cooler lifestyle 😅
He is very much a loyal German Shepherd who wants to be where his people are and live in your skin. Hex was found in the country in Kansas as a stray and was heart worm positive, under going months of treatment and was finally cleared on December 31st 2025. He is the SWEETEST boy and is fabulous being left out in the home with zero issues. He gets along with all other dogs big and small. He is happy to lounge all day and watch movies, or go on hikes and explore. Hex is very environmentally sound and can be a wide variety of settings with confidence and composure.
Hex loves children and would be a great addition to any family home who wants an adventure buddy while also having the perks of a great snuggle buddy.
He is UTD on vaccinations, heartworm/ flea and tick prevention, and neutered. He is 3.5 years old, so the perfect balance of maturity and fun. Hex is a comedian and likes to howl to the sirens of fire and police vehicles, otherwise he is SILENT. He is kennel and potty trained and is a great traveler as he has traveled with us to many states and is a great passenger prince.

Ms. Silva - Silva is a 1 year old rough collie. She is also spayed and UTD on vaccinations and preventatives. Silva was also found as a stray in Kansas but she is a lively young lady looking for her forever family.
Silva is great with other dogs and ADORES children. She has good basic obedience and is kennel and potty trained. She is an absolute stunner with a phenomenal personality to boot. She is very food motivated and easy to train and loves trying new things. She’d make a great sport dog excelling in odor work, FastCAT, or agility. She’d also be content being in an active home and loves hikes and all the adventures. She is very environmentally stable and knows no stranger. She is a great traveler to boot!
This silly girl is so gentle on the leash my 5 year old daughter can her with ease. She is easy going inside of the home, but due to her age we’d recommend kenneling her if you leave the house.

I am now going to be offering Obedience lessons here at Flat Collar K9 starting next week! We can help teach your dog to be calm, obedient, and well-mannered no matter the circumstance! We can teach your dogs to heel for walks, have stable sits and downs, and to enjoy a new form of positive stimulation in training obedience!
We are able to work with all breeds of dogs and even dogs with reactivity issues as well! If you do not trust your dogs to be around other dogs don't be shy! All the more reason to show up so we can help your family grow and be more comfortable being proud owners! We are SO beyond thankful for each and every one of our clients over the years.
We have a phenomenal group of boarding dogs currently with amazing, supportive owners.
We are absolutely blessed to have the property we have now on 30 acres and a large kennel building for a better experience for the dogs.

Hello Everyone!
**EXCITING NEWS**
We have just moved onto a 30 acre property and will be re-opening our doors for client dogs again on September 1st!
So let us introduce ourselves-
Madelyn and Will, have been training dogs professionally for the past 7 years. We both have extensive knowledge in sports and Police/Military K9 training.
We have trained dogs as small as Yorkies to Central Asian Shepherds in everything from basic and advanced on and off leash obedience to Service and Therapy Dogs. We specialize in behavior modifications ranging in all forms of aggression, resource guarding, etc.
We personally own German Shepherds, a Malinois and an Australian Cattle Dog that we compete in a variety of sports ranging from FastCAT, Coursing Ability, Dock Diving, Conformation, Protection Sport Association (PSA) and Detection.

We are exceptionally excited that we now have such a huge property and large kennel building that we can offer more services and hold more client dogs on site!
With this re-opening coming up we will be offering a 10% discount for packages booked between August 20th - September 5th.
We offer individual lessons, board and train packages, and regular boarding!
We are now located just a few minutes outside of Waynesville and 18 minutes from the West Gate of Fort Leonard Wood.

Our Co-Owner Will is leaving the military and is now accepting board and train spots for the month of September! Will is leaving the military as a Five year K9 handler/trainer after working/training Two dual-purpose explosive K9’s! Will has completed over 10 Secret Service missions with his K9 companions ensuring the safety of high profile figures such as Former President Joseph Biden, President Donald J. Trump, and Former Vice President Kamala Harris to name a few! Will excels in off-leash obedience and detection training and is certified through both the US Army and civilian schools to utilize and train using an electronic collar. Will is a balanced trainer who enjoys getting to know dogs on a personal level and gets no greater satisfaction then turning families dogs into a well trained, loving member of their home. Will is certified to train obedience, bitework, detection, off-leash, service dog, sport dog, and behavioral modification to name a few!
