And that's a wrap! 2026 lambing season finished strong with Addie giving us a nice, healthy ram lamb late last night! Final lamb count: 2 ewe lambs and 8 ram lambs!!! As a first year sheep farmer, to have 10 heathly lambs and zero deaths feels like an amazing accomplishment!

Mandy delivered 2 ram lambs on Saturday morning, both were breech. She loves the first one but immediately rejected the second one. He is a runt, nearly one-third the size of his brother. So, he is now a bottle baby, house lamb. He has even been coming to work with me! He still hasn't mastered the bottle, so everyday is a wait and see on if he will make it. But he sure has won the hearts of many and we are all pulling for him 💙

Minnie, our Finnsheep ewe, surprised us with twin lambs this morning! Last October she snuck into the ram pen for a little romance and apparently it was successful. I had bred my sheep for Apri lambs, but Minnie had different plans. As it turns out, my sister happens to be staying with us for a bit, so she was able to help move the lambs and Minnie into the barn where we can warm them up and keep a closer eye on them! Solid red sweater is a ewe lambs and black lamb with the reindeer sweater is a ram lamb 🩷💙
