🐾 Interested in learning more about dog behavior and training? I’m opening 1–2 mentorship spots for mid-October!
Many of you who follow Positive Gun Dog already know how much I believe in looking at the whole dog, not just what the dog is doing, but why they’re doing it.
I’ll be taking 1–2 additional mentees for The Modern Canine Connection Mentorship, starting in mid-October.
This mentorship goes well beyond teaching basic training skills. We dive into canine body language, behavior, learning theory, behavior modification, working with clients, problem solving, real-life cases, video review, observation, and hands-on experience.
For those interested in sporting dogs, this deeper understanding of behavior can be incredibly valuable too. Confidence, arousal, frustration, fear, focus, motivation, and the relationship between dog and handler all play a role in the dogs we work with, whether they’re family dogs, behavior cases, or dogs being trained for work in the field.
This could be a great fit if you:
• Already work with dogs and want to expand your knowledge
• Are considering becoming a trainer or behavior professional
• Work with sporting or hunting dogs and want a stronger behavior foundation
• Or are simply fascinated by dogs and want to understand them on a much deeper level
I keep the mentorship small because I want mentees to have opportunities to ask questions, work through actual cases, observe dogs, and get individualized guidance.
I only have 1–2 openings for this next start date.
