It's been a few months, so I think we're ready to share, but our dog, Zylo, died in December at age 15. She was so welcoming to all of our petsit clients and very type B to let anyone come and live in her house, the perfect partner for this job.

We still miss her dearly, but we're ready to take in our friends again. COVID and Zylo have put business in the back, but we're still here and have people booking through spring break. Keep us in mind because it's so great to have that puppy love in out house again 🥰

Here's some great advice for the 4th!

We'll be taking care of 5 dogs on the 4th and I have my long walks mapped, my calming songs playlist ready to go, and I might go buy some frozen or long-lasting treats for each of them to enjoy!

Pet-sitting pro-tip: if your dog barks, shakes, or hides w all the local fireworks or during storms, put them in a room where you can close the windows and play calming music. We've done this for Zylo every 4th of July for years and Duke is not barking in the other room now for the first time all night listening on a laptop.

Use the music linked here or YouTube search anything related to calming dogs. Low, slow tones seem to work best, play it loud enough to distract from the outside sounds. Hope this helps!

After 3 months of a quiet house, our first client back at home is our old friend, Duke!

THANK YOU to Duke's mom for sending us a support check to her small business friends!

While we are so fortunate that Michael (and family) does not rely on this for our main income, we went from a packed April of spring break pets to nothing - a loss of at least $1100.

If you have a small business where you can afford to send a thank you bonus, please do! Not to us, but to your hairdressers, servers, cleaners, housesitters, or anyone who relied on vacation season for a bulk of their income!

Here's our final furry friend from the cruise that never sailed.

This one also put our in-house cat count up to 6, and while it's been fun to learn more about cat pack mentality, we're looking forward to less litter and late night energy bursts as they start to go home
