What makes Take Me Home Pet Rescue (TMHPR) different from every other animal rescue and shelter? Their foster families get to learn everything about them. This helps the foster pick the perfect home for the pet! Pets also get to work on training and house manners. Take Me Home Pet Rescue was founded in 2008 to meet the growing needs of the homeless pet population in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area. Wit

h the addition of the Adoption Center in 2012, TMHPR continues as a foster-based rescue, meeting the needs of homeless pets in need of Forever Loving Homes. Rescues like Take Me Home, with your support, are able to take animals from overcrowded shelters, and other unfortunate situations and provide them with the appropriate medical care, training and a loving foster home where they can learn to enjoy life again. As a result of living in a home, fosters are able to get to know the pet and help find the perfect Forever Home. TMHPR has set a goal of expanding our current facilities, as well as, continuing to rescue pets from high kill shelters and from the streets of Dallas. Miracle Babies and a Foster's Dedication
An orange tabby mama gave birth to her babies in a safe foster home. Sadly mama contracted Panleukopenia (highly contagious and can be deadly). She unknowingly passed it on to her kittens. These tiny babies needed extensive round-the-clock care just to survive. Despite our efforts, one life was lost, but three fought and came out survivors. Foster Mom calls these her “miracle babies”. Rescue isn’t just finding a home, it’s refusing to give up to give them a miracle chance.

Meet Divot & Hazard, two adorable brothers from the Masters Litter.
Divot is a confident orange tabby who loves to play, cuddle, and be the leader of the pack. Hazard is a gorgeous house panther who sometimes is a little reserved, but he gets braver every day. He loves toys, pets, and playing with the other kittens. Both kittens are are good with a cat-friendly dog and would do great with another cat in the house.

This handsome house panther is part of the Weather Crew litter and was actually born on his foster mom's porch. He's a very curious guy who loves to be the first to investigate something new. When he's not busy playing, Stormy can be found curled up in a lap getting cuddles. Stormy would be happy with a kitty friend or he could be by himself. He is ready to find his forever home!! We just received some updated photos of our sweet Milo from his new family, and we couldn’t wait to share them with all of you! ❤️

Look at this happy boy! 🥰 It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do. Milo has found his forever family, and it’s so wonderful to see him settled in, loved, and living his best life. 🏡🐶

Fabulous Tate! Tate had her television debut back on 8/11 helping with the Telemundo weather forecast. She was adorable, of course! This Thursday, our rescue is featured on a non-profit promotion on NBC 5 at 11:30 where Tate will once again shine on the screen. Just this weekend she had the opportunity to train as a greeter at the rescue. So cute!
But seriously, Tate is amazing and all her siblings including her mother have been adopted. Success has not turned her head. She is still the cute girl we all know and love!
