We had one adoption this week and I missed a couple of other recent ones that need to be announced as well, so here we go!
On Thursday, our lovely beagle mix girl, Tulip Snout, was adopted! She joins a mom and dad who have a lot of property (near a lake!) to run around and play in, and will get plenty of exercise as both of her humans like being outdoors and talking walks. They can't wait to see if she enjoys boating on the lake with them! Two grown-up human brothers will also be part of her life, to help with the spoiling and playing. :)
Tulip was taken in as a stray by Collin County Animal Shelter and fostered by Haz after being pulled into the RHS program. Her new family plans to keep her name (although they will drop Snout and just call her Tulip); they compiled a list of options and, after polling friends and family members, Tulip came out on top. :)
Our sociable and friendly grey tabby boy, Sukar, has also been adopted! He joins a small family with a dad who works from home and another kitty with the fabulous name of Euclid to pal around with. (FYI, Sukar means "sweet" in Turkish, named for his very sweet personality.)
Found as a stray, Sukar was fostered by Randy and Nancy.
And finally, Blue Bell has also been adopted! She now has a mom and dad who were looking for a small dog who was ready for a quiet life with lots of cuddles, companionship and slow walks. Blue Bell fit that requirement perfectly! There is some question on what her name will end up being: Dad prefers Blue, Mom prefers Belle (or maybe Bella).
Originally adopted in 2018, she came back to RHS in 2025 after her family experienced some life changes. Her original foster, Pat R, was able to take her back for a bit, and after she got some much-needed dental work and grooming, Nicole took over fostering duties.
Happy tails, Tulip, Sukar and Blue Blue, and thanks to everyone who helped these kids find their fur-ever homes!
