It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you all that Molly Quinn passed away a few days ago due to complications related to IMHA, an often fatal autoimmune disease.

Molly came to us in May, 2020, already preggers and gave birth to seven beautiful puppies, affectionately known as Molly's Mob.

It took us a little while to find the perfect home for her, but when we did, she hit the jackpot - going to a kind, young, active couple who made her their whole world.

They moved with her to Austin a couple of years ago, and last year she celebrated her fourth year with them (her gotcha day).

This year, she was diagnosed with IMHA and, after a very good fight, was no longer able to keep the disease at bay, and she passed peacefully with her beloveds by her side.

We wish you Godspeed over the bridge sweet Molly - you were a very good dog.

Thanks to all who were a part of her journey, and to those who donated to her cause.

We had a terrific day with TWO adoptions during MTP!

First up was our lively little terrier boy, Teddy. He has a new mom with no other pets so he gets all the spoiling and attention he deserves. :) Now named Alfie, he was rescued from the Balch Springs shelter and fostered by Mary and then Joy.

Our beautiful girl, Betsy, also went to her fur-ever home today! She was adopted by longtime RHS volunteers and supporters, Erika and Brian, and joins a busy household with 2 dogs and 3 cats to play with.

Now named Belle, she was rescued from a local shelter as a tiny baby along with her brother, Ross (the white fluffy goofball in the photos) and their mother, Glory. Betsy was fostered by Andie and then later by Purnima.

Thanks to everyone who helped these two pups find their happy tails!!

Happy first day of May and welcome to the weekend! Our monthly Meet the Pets event will be held tomorrow, Saturday 5/2 from 1pm - 3pm at Petco Plano (801F W 15th St., Plano, TX 75075) and the following pets are expected to attend:

These cute peas have been boarded for over THREE MONTHS. While this is a pretty swanky boarding facility (thanks, Wiggle Butt Academy!), it's no substitute for a home, with a couch, a yard, people who say you're precious even though you may have just stolen a pair of old shoes.

Oh - they come together, like birds of a feather, sisters from another mister, two peas in a small and tiny pod.
