Hello everyone,
My name is Ashley, and I am incredibly honored to introduce myself as the new owner of TKM Kennels LLC.
First, I want to thank Alyssa and her family for the trust they have placed in me. The love, dedication, and care they poured into this kennel over the years is evident in every relationship they've built, every wagging tail that comes through the door, and every family who has entrusted them with their beloved pets. I know I have big shoes to fill, and I don't take that responsibility lightly.
For those who don't know me, animals have always been at the center of my life. I've always felt a deep connection to animals and the unconditional love, loyalty, and joy they bring to our lives. I believe pets are family, and they deserve to be cared for with patience, compassion, respect, and genuine love.
Many years ago, I had the privilege of working in the Northwoods as an animal care worker, helping care for pets and supporting the people who loved them. Some of my fondest professional memories come from that time, and I'm genuinely excited to reconnect with this community through a role that combines so many things I care deeply about. Returning to animal care feels a bit like coming home.
Beyond my passion for animals, I care deeply about community and service. I believe that small businesses are built on relationships, trust, and showing up for people when they need you. Whether it's providing peace of mind while you're away, caring for a nervous first-time boarder, celebrating a puppy's milestones, or supporting a family through the senior years of a beloved pet's life, I understand that what we do is about so much more than pet care. It's about caring for the people who love those pets, too.
While you may see Kyle around from time to time, this dream has truly been my passion, and I will be the one you'll see here day in and day out. Kyle is my biggest supporter, my sounding board, and the person who continually encourages me to pursue goals that challenge and inspire me. He'll be cheering me on from behind the scenes with our boys, but I'll be the face you'll see caring for your pets, building relationships, and working alongside our team every day.
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm hardworking, driven, and always looking for ways to learn and grow. Becoming a business owner is a dream years in the making, and I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity to turn that dream into reality. This isn't simply a business investment for me—it's a commitment to a community, a passion for animals, and a chance to serve families in a meaningful way.
My goal is to honor the incredible foundation Alyssa built while continuing to grow and strengthen the services and care we provide. I am committed to preserving the values that have made this kennel special: treating every pet as if they were our own and every client as part of our extended family.
I'm excited to get to know each of you and your pets. I look forward to learning their unique personalities, celebrating their quirks, and earning the trust that so many of you have placed in this kennel over the years.
While ownership is changing, my goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible. Alyssa will be helping during the transition period, and I am incredibly grateful for her guidance and support as I learn from someone who has built something truly special.
Thank you for welcoming me into this community and trusting me with the animals you love so dearly. I can't wait to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new friends, and continue caring for the pets who make every day brighter.
