Some truth here

- call a trainer for behavior issues
- everyone is busy
- right now many not be the right time for your breeding program
- there is NO room in shelters or rescues
- help your friends/family with dog food (the kind they use not a cheaper kind)
- being judgy doesn’t help

On National dog day, I loaded 4 dogs and 1 husband into the van to take them for updated weights (the dogs, not Greg). 1 xl kennel, 1 L kennel, 2 dogs loose. This is why I have a minivan. I could have still fit my kids and luggage if I needed too.

I am super excited that the networking group I am joining is starting a new chapter in Republic.

I don’t want to change behavior without changing the reason for the behavior. I want to take a dog that is nervous about something and change their mind about it. Rather than “that thing is scary”, I want ”that thing means cookies”.

I don’t work with severe cases of anxiety or aggression but many behaviors we consider undesirable are fear/anxiety based. Helping a dog be more confident and have coping skills goes a long way to a better life.

Sugar and her Mom have such a great relationship. When owners have taken the time to build a great relationship and still call me to make it even better, it makes my heart happy. I had a great time meeting these 2 today.
