Jasper County Animal Shelter & Control was founded in November of 1998. Our shelter organization is operated & funded by Jasper County in the state of Indiana. Jasper County Animal Shelter & Control enforces the ordinances of Jasper County, Indiana and Indiana state laws on animals. Our facility intakes include stray and owner surrendered pets. We are a shelter specifically designed to take in cats and/or dogs. ADOPTIONS: Adoption Fee of $50.00 for cats/kittens Adoption Fee of $50.00 for dogs/puppies
Adoption fees cover the first vaccination & de-wormer of animals puppy and kittens & older if needed. We require all adopters to fill out an adoption application, provide a photo I.D., and obtain a prepay receipt from the veterinarian of their choice for the spaying/neutering and the rabies vaccination for the animal. A BiG part of our success is due to all the rescues and people who volunteer their time to help us save our animals. We full-heartedly thank all of you who donate so much of your time to help us get our fur babies to safety!!

* WE ARE LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES OFF OF INTERSTATE 65 (EXIT 215 - U.S. 114 E) IN NORTHWESTERN INDIANA. TRAVEL EASTBOUND ON 114 TOWARDS RENSSELAER. U.S. 114 IS ALSO KNOWN AS CLARK STREET. WE ARE LOCATED 2 MILES EAST OF I-65 ON 114/CLARK ST. ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE ACROSS FROM THE JASPER COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS. JASPER COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT IS LOCATED TO THE WEST AND THE JASPER COUNTY AIRPORT IS TO THE EAST OF OUR SHELTER. Jasper County Animal Shelter & Control is currently operated by the following staff members :

Jasper County Animal Shelter & Control is governed
under the authority of the Animal Shelter & Control Board & the County Commissioners of Jasper County, Indiana. The Board is composed of Citizens of Jasper County, Indiana. Meetings are held every 2nd Monday of the month, at 6:00 p.m. @ 910 S. Sparling Ave. Rensselaer. The public is welcome to attend meetings.

Turnip sure does! 🥰🐾 Thanks to her aunties at the shelter and the wonderful girls at Rensselaer Pet Care, Turnip is finally FREE of her mats! ✂️✨

Now we can see just how beautiful this girl really is! 😍 Sometimes, all it takes is a little TLC, a whole lot of love, and some amazing people willing to go the extra mile. ❤️

This beautiful 6-month-old, long-haired girl is ALL about her people! 😻 She wants to be held, hugged, loved on, and as close to you as possible. If you’re looking for a little best friend who will shower you with affection, Purrla might just be your girl! ❤️

She’s a little selective with other cats and will tolerate them, but honestly, she’d much rather have her humans all to herself! 🥰

Purrla does have an old eye injury that doesn’t seem to bother her one bit. It certainly doesn’t stop her from being the sweetest, most loving little companion!

Meet Nani! 🩷 This beautiful one-year-old girl has been waiting for 53 days for someone to come meet her, and we just can’t understand why! 😭

Nani is everything you could want in a feline friend. She’s a little cuddler, incredibly friendly with people, and absolutely gorgeous! 😻 She is spayed and up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including rabies. She can be a little selective about her cat friends, but when it comes to people, she’s a sweetheart! 💗

We know her perfect person is out there somewhere. She deserves a family to love her, a cozy spot to curl up, and someone to give all her cuddles to.
