CATOLOGY 2027
February 18–21, 2027 • Circus Circus • Reno, Nevada

Here we go again; Catology 2027 is taking shape. We are ready to start rolling out the information you need to plan your Catology getaway.

Last year worked, but afterward we kept talking about how rushed it felt, so we put more room in the schedule.

We set aside all of Thursday for Breeder Education Day. Then, since everyone is already together Thursday night, we decided we shouldn’t just send everyone back to their rooms.

So we upped the Welcome Party.

We'll have dinner, dessert (on Catology’s dime), a cash bar (with the first $600 in drinks sponsored by M-T Pet Beds and TikkaSky Bengals), and something we are particularly excited about—a completely customized Cats Against Humanity game created specifically by and for the TICA community. After spending the day using our brains, we'll spend the evening eating, drinking, laughing, and learning a few things about our cat friends that we can never unlearn.

And yes, the 10:00 AM start is intentional too.

We know the show is the primary reason you all come, but we don’t want the show hall to be the only place you make memories that weekend. We want you to plan something special. Challenge your friends to a Circus Downs race at the Midway at Circus Circus. Treat yourself to a massage at the Silver Legacy. Catch a show at the Eldorado. Find a good place for dinner and stay awhile. You don’t have to be up at the crack of dawn.

That is really the reason behind all of these changes. We want you to spend time with your TICA friends, and our room rates make it doable. $75 Friday night, $95 Saturday night, and $55 any other night with no pet fee.

Learn some, laugh a lot, eat with someone you've never met before, talk about the future of the cat fancy, compete some, win some, lose some, and make memories that have nothing to do with who took Best Cat.

Education. Conversation. Friendship. Community. And a whole lot of fun.

We've spent the past few weeks collecting sentence starters and funny cat show phrases for Catology's Cats Against Humanity deck.

This week, we're turning our attention to one of the most entertaining parts of every cat show:
