We were lucky enough to squeeze 8 does in for our first linear appraisal. This was all about learning more about our young herd and creating the right foundation moving forward. We have lots to work on but I am so proud of our girls. So without further ado…

Berta unfortunately had her kids premature in a snowstorm this year so we are hopeful to see her udder capacity catch up with her body depth next year

Rose is my husbands heart goat and we were just so excited to get this old girl appraised today. Lots of helpful information and confirmed things we are already seeing corrected in her daughters.

Teddy is a doe that I regularly don’t give enough credit. She was really commended today for how wide and truly dairy she is for such a small frame.

GOODNESS I love this doe. Shakira is a …free spirit… but I’m determined to get her into the ring next year. She is maturing so beautifully and was complimented for her openness and depth of body for such a young doe.

Cricket was commended for her rear legs and rump. She’s a very angular doe that we would just like to see more capacity on.

Amaltheia is a new face here but is settling in quite nicely. She was complimented for her body capacity, rear udder height, and teat placement.

We learned lots and will continue to use this information to better our herd. Thank you to everyone that helped us and made this possible.

Today was APPRAISAL DAY for 8 of our girls! I will post everyone’s scores in the next few days but I just wanted to highlight the doe that started it all for us.

Walsh Kids P Shakira VVVV 87 as a 3yo2F. Shakira is not an in your pocket doe, but I am determined to get her in the ring next year. She has matured so beautifully in the second lactation and I can’t thank Walsh Kids Nigerian Dwarf Goats for trusting us with this beautiful girl 3 years ago. Who knew we’d end up here.

Ummm excuse but where have my clothes gone ?!?

We are DAYS away from our first linear appraisal and the girls are ditching their fuzzy pajamas in preparation. Stay tuned for scores and hopefully some classy new pictures of a few of our girls.

Good morning! We are pleased to announce preparations are in the works for next year’s Summer Solstice Dairy Goat Show brought to you by Nevada Goat Producers Association.
Save the date: June 26, 2027. The proposed 4 ring show will be located in the air conditioned Rafter 3C Arena in Fallon Nevada, with indoor pens. We are hoping to secure Sr and Jr doe sanctions with ADGA with an embedded youth show, and TMGR and MDGA with Sr doe, Jr doe and an AOM buck show. Thank you to everyone who has reached out or kept us in your prayers. We got lots and lots of rain this evening! The girls are not happy about all the water but we are so grateful. Hopefully this weather will stick around and they will get these fires knocked out.

Prayer warriors we need your help. Tonight we are praying for rain and for the fire crews working on these huge fires. We are currently on standby for evacuation but it’s definitely too close for comfort. Please pray tonight for rain, that we don’t get evacuated, and that the goats load easily if we do. 🙏🏻💕🤞🏼🐐

Staccato made the trip from Washington and is settling in nicely. Backed by a pedigree rich in proven performance, he is long, level, and WIDE. Staccato has already demonstrated his ability to transmit the traits we are looking to strengthen in our herd. His first freshened daughters consistently exhibit outstanding mammary attachments, impressive rear udder height and arch, while maintaining balanced dairy strength.
