🐾 MEET SEVEN — NOW INTERVIEWING HUMANS! 🐾

Seven is a handsome 2-year-old purebred Corgi looking for his forever home—and this boy has standards! 😁❤️
He’s smart, playful, loves toys, enjoys zoomies with other dogs, and is just as happy snuggling beside you for a movie. He gets along great with dogs big and small and already knows sit and down!
Seven can be shy at first, so he needs a patient, understanding human who will give him time to trust. Once he does, you’ll have a loyal little shadow who loves being by your side. 🥰

He’ll also need continued work and consistency with potty training as he learns a new routine.

Oh, and his special talent? Relocating everyone’s food bowls. Apparently, he’s also pursuing a career in interior decorating. 😂🍚

Seven is a sweet, funny, chill little guy who deserves a family ready to keep his body active, his Corgi brain busy, and his heart VERY spoiled. ❤️🐾

We had to say goodbye to one of our baby's yesterday, she became very ill and it was discovered she had some congenital abnormalities that were not fixable. After 2 days at Peak and an overnight at AEC we made the painful choice to let her go. It NEVER gets easier making these decisions and our hearts are heavy right now. We send our heartfelt condolences to Knox aka Lambs adopters.

Thanks to all the staff at Peak Pet Urgent Care for the care you gave Knox. When I tell you they went above and beyond for this baby, I'm not exaggerating.

RIP baby girl..you were and still are loved.

🐾 RES-QUE FOSTER SPOTLIGHT: KYLIE 🐾

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on someone who has been part of the Res-Que family for almost 10 YEARS! ❤️

Meet Kylie! 🐶

Kylie started fostering when she was pregnant, and what started as helping dogs in need has become a way of life. Her daughter is now 9 years old and has literally grown up fostering, learning from the very beginning what it means to love, help, and advocate for dogs who need a second chance. ❤️

And Kylie doesn’t stop at fostering! She also transports dogs for Res-Que and many other local rescues, helping get dogs exactly where they need to go. Whether it's a foster home, vet appointment, or their next step toward adoption, Kylie is there to help make it happen. 🚗🐾

Her philosophy is pretty simple: big, small, old, young… they’re all welcome! 🥰

One of the things we appreciate most about Kylie is her incredible kindness. She has a way of making everyone feel welcome, supported, and valued. She is always willing to lend a hand, help a dog, or help another volunteer—and she does it with a genuinely caring heart.

When asked what makes fostering so rewarding, Kylie said:

"Making a real difference—that's the best part. Many dogs wouldn't be here anymore, but they are happy, adopted, and living their best life."

And THAT is exactly why we do what we do. ❤️

Kylie also says Res-Que is the best organization ever to foster with, because of the support and love she receives from the Res-Que family. We feel pretty lucky to have her too!

Oh, and when she isn't busy saving dogs, you can probably find Kylie cheering on her beloved San Francisco Giants! ⚾🧡🖤

Kylie, we truly couldn't do this without you. Thank you for nearly a decade of opening your home, giving your time, transporting dogs, supporting other rescuers, and—most importantly—helping change the lives of dogs who desperately need someone in their corner.

❤️ Meet Pippi Longstocking! ❤️

This sweet little redhead is an 8-month-old, 40-ish lb mutt with gorgeous green eyes and a whole lot of love to give! She’s a fun mix of Frenchie, Husky, Pit Bull, and Rat Terrier—and she’s definitely got the best quirks from all four. 😂

Pippi is sweet, playful, snuggly, house-trained, walks well on leash, and travels great in the car. She loves her people and would do best with a confident, friendly dog to show her the ropes.

She’s still working on her puppy manners, especially jumping and barking when excited, so a family willing to continue her training would be perfect. She’s lived happily with kids and would do best with older children. Cats are unknown.

Pippi is vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped—and ready to find her forever family! 🐾❤️

Because looking at these faces may cause an immediate and uncontrollable urge to adopt a puppy. 😂🐾

Meet our adorable little Terrier/Poodle mix crew! These tiny nuggets are about 8–9 weeks old, sweet as can be, well socialized, and officially ready to start interviewing humans for their forever homes. 🐶❤️

We have 4 boys and 1 girl—and yes, they are all ridiculously cute. It’s actually a little rude. 😍

⚠️ IMPORTANT RES-QUE FINE PRINT:
We cannot guarantee a specific puppy. Applications will be reviewed as they come in, and we’ll work with the fosters to determine the best match for each puppy and family.

🐾💜 MEET KORRA — A SWEET SHADOW GIRL LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER PERSON! 💜🐾

Beautiful Korra is a Kelpie mix, about 50 lbs, spayed, vaccinated, and looking for someone who wants a loyal best friend by their side. ❤️

In just a few days with her foster, Korra has shown what a sweet, affectionate, people-loving girl she is. She bonds deeply and is happiest simply being close to her person — following you around the house, hanging out while you work, or curling up beside you. She's the definition of a shadow dog. 🥹❤️

✨ A little about Korra:
🐾 Approximately 50 lbs
🐾 Spayed & up to date on vaccines
🐾 Great on leash
🐾 No resource guarding with people observed
🐾 Very affectionate and people-oriented
🐾 Working on perfecting her house-training
🐾 Some separation anxiety, but she's already improving
🐾 Can be crated when her foster leaves

Korra did well with other dogs in shelter playgroups, but we've learned that living with other dogs isn't where she thrives. She needs a home where she can be the ONLY DOG and enjoy all the love and attention for herself. 💕 She has more than enough personality and love to fill a home!

Cats are unknown, so a cat-free home would be best.

What Korra really wants is her person — someone she can bond with, love fiercely, follow from room to room, and finally know that she doesn't have to go anywhere again. 🏡❤️

📍 Currently fostered in Castle Peak
🐾 Adoption will be handled through her rescue.

It’s Purses for Pooches time! This is our monthly drawing for a fabulous purse, and this one is exceptional!

This brand new bag measures approximately 13 inches wide, 13 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches deep. It has embroidered flowers and the Disney dogs on the front and sides (dogs are not embroidered).

Raffle tickets are five-dollars each payable through Zelle (775-771-0293), Venmo (-que), and cash. When you Venmo or Zelle, please make a note that it’s for the purse raffle.

The raffle will end on 10 September promptly at 4 o’clock and will be posted.
