Philosphy: Alexa Derr recognizes that a well-rounded training program is the key to success. Alexa’s personal and professional medley of dressage/event horses; including ponies, Friesians, OTTBs, draft crosses and warmbloods, has given her confidence in approaching training from all different angles. Riders that train and lesson with Alexa not only learn how to correctly execute each movement as you go up the levels, but also learn problem-solving skills when working on their own. Alexa focuses her lessons and training rides on the clear use and response of aids. She strongly believes that correct basics form an imperative foundation for both the horse and rider to advance. Once this is achieved, she uses a variety of exercises to develop sustainable suppleness, muscular strength, and ease of lateral movements.

These are my “Happy 30th birthday” boots 🎉💕

When our friend Alexa (Vue de Lou Dressage LLC - Alexa Derr) was looking to redesign a pair of De Niro Boot Co (Denirobootco USA) boots she had in her closet, we were happy to give her old boots an update!

The new boots (pictured) are a DeNiro Tintoretto boot in Malibu Oxford leather, Patent Rosa Antico piping with punched hole details on the toecap, top, and heel, and GG11 studs decorating the top. These boots feature spur rests, a black sole. and black lace hooks.

A special shoutout to our friend and fellow DeNiro rep, Noelle of Style My Ride who designed the original pair of boots! We were honored to bring Noelle's original design to life once again for Alexa! We have huge admiration for Noelle and what she has done for the DeNiro brand and boot businesses as a whole 🖤 Noelle has designed several of DeNiro's top options and is the designer for the original concept of removable/interchangeable tops! Side note - TDR is excited to be offering these tops in 2025.
