Welcome Scout! Scout is a 1-2 year old pit mix available for adoption through Philly Bully Team! Scout is working on some basic manners through board and train with me, and it’s safe to say he is catching on quickly! 🥰

Welcome .them.dog.training newest pup!! Bruce!! Bruce is a cutie rescue pit lab mix from Puerto Rico. This good boy is working on being calm, learning to relax, and letting new people enter the home without a big party. His owners are ready to put in the work and I’m so excited for them! 🥰

This Sunday!! For Them Dog Training is hosting our first free confidence building group class. We’ll have agility courses, scent games, leash walking courses and tons of fun. Confidence building is KEY for a happy pup, so join us this Sunday!

All dogs are welcome! There will be no nose to nose dog intros and plenty of space given to the dogs who need it 💕

Everyone welcome Millie Grace to .them.dog.training ! I got the pleasure of working with Miss Millie yesterday with some reactivity towards dogs, children, and bicycles. Her parents are so dedicated to her training and she’s going to be AMAZING with their help! 💕

Can your dog do something’s inside, but then refuse outside? Is your dog a recall champion in the backyard, but struggles at the park? Your dog could still be generalizing this command. Dogs struggle with generalizing and can sometimes take a while to truly understand something in all context. What’s the best way to help your dog with this? Practice! Practice in different rooms, different locations, with different people. Your dog should understand what’s being asked ALWAYS, not just under the perfect circumstances.

Structure, rules, expectations: all things that dogs THRIVE off of! I don’t mean having an exact minute by minute schedule, but I do mean having the same rules in place every time. If you’re dog is allowed to jump on people sometimes, but then you get mad other times, your dog is going to be left confused and unsure of what is okay and what’s not okay. If your dog is allowed to bolt out the front door in front of you when it’s time for a walk, but isn’t allowed to run out the front door to chase the neighbors, you’re creating a gray area for your dog. The more clarity we give our dogs, the better their lives will be!
