We just received a drop off of a special dachshund named Mina. Mina’s family doesn’t live very far away so they decided to drop off their girl in person rather than ship. They requested that her skeleton be articulated, partial cremation, paw and nose prints, and her heart be preserved

Last skeletons of the year! We just finished up this pair of lemurs for a zoo. There’s a subadult black and white ruffed lemur in the front, and an adult ringtail lemur behind. Ruffed lemurs are quite a bit larger than their smaller ringtailed cousin, so this should make a nice addition to the zoo’s comparative anatomy display

Earlier this week we received several very special packages, one of which contained a kitty named Jack Black. Jack’s dad packed him with a special blanket and adorned him with flowers. He requested that we clean his skeleton, tan his pelt, and take some ink paw prints

Real friends give you their finger when it gets bitten off by an alligator, and real friends then recreate the scene of the crime and put said finger in a diaphonized caiman’s mouth to then return to the owner. Was a fun one to work with, and thank you to everyone involved that helped make it happen!

This is Little Bear the munchkin cat. Little Bear’s mom () sent her to us to memorialize her via skeletal articulating, collecting her whiskers, taking ink paw and nose prints, and wet preserving her heart. Munchkin cats have short limbs, rounded scapulae, short ribs, but an otherwise similar sized body (and skull) to a normal cat. I included a comparison in the second pic
