How is our Darla girl FOUR months old already?! 🥹❤️

Watching her grow into herself has been so much fun, but one of my favorite things has been watching her relationship with Minnie develop. From the moment Darla came home, Minnie immediately took her under her wing, and that hasn’t changed. They truly have this little mother/daughter relationship. 🥹 Minnie corrects her, teaches her, watches over her and is absolutely a parental figure in her life.

Moose, on the other hand… is basically just her giant goofy best friend. 😂 She LOVES playing with him — and apparently biting his knees is one of her favorite hobbies. 🤦‍♀️😂 Thankfully, Moose seems perfectly happy with his assigned role.

We’ve also been working HARD on something that isn’t nearly as exciting as puppy adventures but is so important: learning how to just… be bored.

While Mom cooks. While Mom showers. While the family watches a movie. All those mundane parts of everyday life where nothing exciting is happening and she simply needs to settle.

We’ve been using a tether, lots of repetition, and enough treats to probably replace an entire meal some days 😂 — but it’s paying off! She knows the setup now and is getting to the point where she’ll lie down almost immediately when she sees it.

Potty training has improved DRASTICALLY too! 🙌 Accidents are becoming few and far between, and she’s officially making it through the NIGHT now, which is HUGE. 🎉 Daytime excitement is still our weak spot, but she’s only four months old. We’ll get there!

All in all, she is doing so well and maturing into such a wonderful girl. Even her puppy coat is starting to change — it’s thickening up and beginning to flare out, and I cannot wait to see what she looks like fully matured. 😍

And speaking of milestones… we’re only a couple DAYS away from Minnie & Moose’s babies turning SIX MONTHS OLD. 😭❤️ How?!

I’ve been waiting until Minnie was at least six months postpartum before moving forward with her OFA testing, giving her body and hormones time to settle after pregnancy and nursing. With that milestone finally here, we’ll be moving forward with the next steps before planning another litter. ❤️

And I have to say this again because I don’t think our puppy families realize just how much it means to us:

Every single post. Every message. Every random picture. Every little training update, funny story, weight update and adventure you share with us — our whole family LOVES seeing them.

We raised those babies from their very first breaths, and getting to continue watching them grow because you guys keep us included is something I will never take for granted. 🥹

Thank you for loving them. Thank you for keeping in touch. And thank you for letting us continue to be a tiny part of their lives.

It truly means the world to our family. ❤️🐾

🐾 Our First Soulmate Saints Litter — 4 Months Old! 🐾

How are these babies already FOUR months old?! 😭❤️

I’ve been getting so many pictures and updates from their families lately, and I figured it was time to share a little glimpse of what our first Soulmate Saints babies are up to.

And the short version?

They’re living their BEST lives. 🥹

These little potatoes we sent home a couple months ago are quickly turning into BIG dogs. 😂 Several are already well into the 40-50+ lb range, with Nitro recently tipping the scale at 52.6 lbs! 😳 Maggie is already about the size of a full-grown Lab, and somehow they’re all still convinced they’re tiny babies.

But the part I love most isn’t watching the numbers on the scale climb—it’s hearing about the lives they’re building with their families.

❤️ They’re going on adventures.

❤️ They’re meeting new people and dogs.

❤️ They’re learning manners, routines and how to exist in this giant world with their giant bodies.

❤️ They’re settling into crates and playpens that have become their own safe little spaces.

❤️ They’re discovering their voices… and apparently some of them inherited the BOOMING Saint Bernard bark already😂

❤️ They’re becoming best friends with the dogs already in their homes.

🩷Maggie Mae even gets to go to work with her family at a dog daycare/indoor dog park, where she’s getting an incredible amount of socialization and meeting dogs of every shape and size—including another giant-breed puppy her age. 🥹

❤️Rajah apparently has access to an entire house and still puts herself to bed in her playpen when she’s tired. 😂❤️ she also REALLY loves her big brother Pete and just can’t contain her emotions when she’s around him so it comes out in love bites to his face😅🤣

🤍Lily, who wasn’t quite convinced about sleeping in her crate at first, has made HUGE progress and is now happily sleeping there through the night.

💜Willow is apparently finding her voice—and according to her family, that voice is BOOMING. 🤣 She’s also weighing in around 46 lbs and continues to surprise her family with just how loving and sweet she is.

🩶Winnie is growing into an absolutely gorgeous girl, and I swear every new picture makes her look more and more like her dad. ❤️

🖤Hooper recently weighed in around 48 lbs, is all caught up at the vet, and has developed an incredibly special friendship with his buddy Maverick. His family shared something with me recently that I’ll probably carry forever — Hooper came into their lives during a season of tremendous loss, and somehow this goofy puppy has brought comfort and joy not only to his people, but to Maverick too. 🥹❤️ Sometimes these dogs find exactly the people who need them.

Then we have our TWO Mooses. 😂

🧡Moose, formerly Nitro, is currently leading the heavyweight division at 52.6 lbs and apparently taking life completely in stride.

💚And Moose, formerly Cade, has been growing right along with everyone else at around 43 lbs. His family has been putting a lot of effort into training, confidence-building and helping him navigate that big personality inside an increasingly big body. ❤️ He reminds me so much of his dad at that age, and I’m really excited to watch him continue to mature.

💙And Nitro… well, Nitro is apparently completely unfazed by life. 😂 Three shots at his recent appointment didn’t even bother him, and he’s already 52.6 lbs.

I’ve also gotten updates about potty-training victories, puppy mischief, training struggles, goofy new habits, cuddles, friendships and all of those little moments that come with raising a giant-breed puppy.

And THAT is why I love getting updates.

They’re not all doing exactly the same thing at exactly the same pace—and they’re not supposed to.

They’re growing into completely different dogs in completely different homes, with their own personalities starting to shine through more every day.

Sometimes I see Moose.

Sometimes I see Minnie.

But more than anything, I see puppies who are loved.

I see families putting in the work.

I see puppies becoming part of households, routines, adventures and memories.

When I started Soulmate Saints, this was the part I hoped for but couldn’t really picture yet. I knew sending nine puppies out into the world would be emotional—but I didn’t realize how amazing it would be to continue watching them grow from afar.

From the puppy who became an unexpected source of comfort for a family during an incredibly difficult time, to the families sending me pictures because their puppy did something that reminded them of Moose or Minnie… every update means more to me than they probably realize. ❤️

These aren’t nine puppies I raised and said goodbye to.

They’re nine little pieces of Moose & Minnie (and of my heart🥹) scattered among nine families who love them tremendously.

And judging by these pictures…

I’d say they’re doing pretty darn well. 🥹🐾💙

Happy 4 months, babies!

Keep living your best lives. ❤️

It’s the little moments that matter. 🤍

She has only been home a couple of days, and thanks to all the rain, she’s already had two baths. 😅🌧️

After each bath, I wrap her in a towel, gently hold her like a baby, and start rocking her.

Within minutes… she’s sound asleep in my arms. 🥹

Moments like these remind me how important early handling is. Puppies who are introduced to grooming, nail trims, baths, and being calmly handled from a young age often learn that these experiences are safe instead of scary.

Building trust starts long before they’re fully grown. 💕🐾

🤍 Welcome Home, Daisy! 🤍

After a long road trip, our newest family member is finally home!

Daisy is an AKC Saint Bernard from a long line of Champion, Grand Champion, and Grand Champion Champion dogs, bred by a kennel whose dogs are recognized around the world. 🤯❤️

More importantly, she has an incredible temperament. In just her first day home, she’s already settling in beautifully, making friends with Minnie, and winning over the entire family.

She won’t be part of our breeding program for quite a while—right now she’s just a puppy, and she’ll spend the next couple of years growing up, learning, exploring, completing health testing, and proving herself before any breeding decisions are made.

We’re incredibly excited for what she may bring to Soulmate Saints in the future, but for now we’re just soaking up every minute of watching this sweet little girl settle into her new home. 🥹🐾

Welcome home, Daisy. ❤️

One of the biggest myths in dog ownership:

“They’ll calm down when they’re older.”

In reality, calm is something we intentionally teach from puppyhood.

Agree or disagree? 👇

Every puppy has opinions about their first walk. 😂

Patience is one of the most underrated puppy essentials.

Progress > perfection.

The goal isn’t a perfect first walk—it’s making new experiences positive. 🐾

Moose is working on neutrality. ❤️🐾

His biggest challenge is strangers, so we spend time in neutral places just watching the world go by. No tricks. No commands. No expectations.

Just learning that not every person, dog, bike, or squirrel requires an opinion. 😅

Sometimes the most important training is teaching a dog how to relax.
