Osceola County Animal Control If you love our animals but simply can't adopt another one... Ask us how you can "sponsor an animal"

As a municipal shelter, we accept animals from Osceola County only and may have a waiting list so we ask you call first when surrendering your pet. Since there are NO state laws regarding cats, we do not pick up cats. As an Animal Control Shelter, we take in stray domestic pets, accepting surrenders from our County's residents, and respond to animal related complaints, enforcing animal laws. Did you know in the State of Michigan, it is illegal to permit your dog to stray off your property, onto another property or in a public roadway and a citation (ticket) can be issued for $225.00. An an additional $150.00 can be charged if your dog is found to be unlicensed. We thank you for keeping your pets safe at home and we are grateful for everyone who maintains their dog's license on their collars - as law mandates - to ensure a safe and speedy return of your lost pet! We love our pets here, and always strive to guarantee their needs are always met. We offer shelter to the weak and homeless, and a safe haven for all who enter our care. We thank you for your support to our mission of compassionate, kind care of our beloved furry friends!

****ADOPOTED**** Lookie here! This sweet timid lil man is an April 14th 2026 model. Microchip and vaccinated, his ONLY fault is he has a short stubby lil tail. ADORABLE in every way, We feel a quiet home would suite his quiet personality. Adoption is 45 "dollas" with a refund upon neuter and updated rabies. Interested adopters are encouraged to send a DM with their name address, other dogs in the home, kids and ages, and way you plan to keep contained. We will give you a call next week when back in the office to schedule viewings. There's a WHOLE lotta cute here in a tiny package.

Sharing this dog that showed up at a residence on 88th st (Osceola's 1 mile rd ) just west of Lakola rd. This is near the four corners where Lake, Osceola, Newaygo and Mecosta Counties meet so he could be from any one of those counties. Please share and contact the finder Jessica Keil or Lake County Animal control as he may end up in their care if an owner can't be located soon.
