Welcome, Dr. Molly Schmiege!

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Molly Schmiege to Bayhill Equine! A lifelong hunter/jumper, Dr. Schmiege earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame before receiving her Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School. After returning to her childhood passion for horses, she completed her veterinary prerequisites at the University of Kentucky and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University.

Dr. Schmiege went on to complete an equine rotating internship at Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center in New Jersey and has a special interest in general wellness, sports medicine, and improving equine performance. We’re excited to have her on the team—and she is currently accepting new clients! Give us a call to get on her schedule. 🐎

What a great day of learning, collaboration, and, of course, horses! 🐴

Our doctors and techs at Bayhill Equine had the pleasure of partnering with NCEFT for a hands-on bandaging skills lab, giving the team an opportunity to learn and practice important bandaging techniques. A huge thank you to NCEFT for hosting us and for the incredible work you do to connect and heal with horses. And a special thank you to our demo horses, Mac and Nugget for being such good “patients” and patiently participating in the demonstrations!

We’re grateful for partnerships like these that bring together education, equine care, and community. Here’s to continued learning and collaboration!

We want to make our clients aware of a recent drug recall affecting specific lot numbers of Adequan Single Dose 5ml Vials. The lots are: Lot # 24416 and Lot # 25265P.

We have checked our inventory and can confirm that Bayhill Equine does not have any of the affected lot numbers in stock.

However, if you purchased this medication from an online pharmacy or another source, we encourage you to check the lot number on your bottle or packaging. Do not use a recalled product lot.

If you discover that you have an affected lot or have questions about your medication, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're happy to help determine if your horse's medication is impacted and discuss next steps if needed.
