🐾💚 VETERINARY TECHNICIAN WEEK SPOTLIGHT: EMMA & BREE! 💚🐾

It's Friday, and we're wrapping up our Veterinary Technician Week spotlights by celebrating two wonderful members of our RKAH Team, Emma and Bree! 🎉❤️

Emma joined the Redmond Kirkland Animal Hospital team in 2021, and on October 18th, she celebrated an incredible 5 YEARS with us! 🥳🎉 Over the years, we've watched her skills, knowledge, and confidence grow tremendously, and she's become such a pleasure to work alongside every shift. We're so proud of how far she's come and grateful to have her as part of our team!

Bree joined us last August and has jumped right in! She's picked up new skills quickly, continues to grow in her role, and does a wonderful job caring for both our patients and their people. Her ability to connect with clients and make our furry patients feel cared for is such a valuable part of what she brings to RKAH. We're excited to see her continue to learn and grow with us! 💚🐾

It's Thursday, and we're back with another Veterinary Technician Week spotlight! Today, we're celebrating two amazing members of the Redmond Kirkland Animal Hospital team, Heidi and Kat! 🎉🩺

For the past year and a half, Heidi has been a steady presence here at RKAH, picking up relief shifts and helping us through our staffing challenges. She brings years of experience, valuable skills, and a willingness to jump in wherever she's needed, and we truly appreciate everything she brings to our team! ❤️

Kat is one of our seasoned Licensed Veterinary Technicians who joined the RKAH family back in 2017! Over the years, she's provided excellent care to our patients, helped our clients feel supported, and played an important role in training and mentoring new Veterinary Assistants. Her experience, knowledge, and dedication have made her a valued part of our team for many years! 💚

It's Wednesday, and we're continuing our Veterinary Technician Week celebrations by shining the spotlight on Bonnie, one our amazing Licensed Veterinary Technician! 🎉🩺

Bonnie joined the Redmond Kirkland Animal Hospital team in 2013 as a Veterinary Assistant and, over the years, continued her education and worked her way toward becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician. We're so proud of the dedication and growth she's shown throughout her journey! ❤️

Today, Bonnie serves as our primary procedure LVT, where her skills, experience, and incredible attention to detail help keep our patients safe and our team on track. From preparing for procedures to making sure every detail is covered, Bonnie plays an essential role in providing our patients with the care they deserve. 🐶🐱

But her impact doesn't stop there! Bonnie is also an amazing instructor who takes the time to mentor Veterinary Assistants who want to develop their dental and surgical skills. Through hands-on training, guidance, and encouragement, she helps build their confidence and ensures they're comfortable performing their duties. Passing along that knowledge and experience is an invaluable gift to our entire team! 🩺✨

🐾💚 VETERINARY TECHNICIAN WEEK SPOTLIGHT: TASHA & VICTORIA! 💚🐾

Today, we're shining the spotlight on two amazing members of our RKAH team, Tasha and Victoria! 🎉 While they're both Veterinary Assistants, they're each on their own exciting journey in veterinary medicine, and we're so happy to have them on our team!
Tasha first joined our team in 2017 before spending a few years gaining experience in Emergency Veterinary Care. We're thrilled she found her way back to us while we were operating as Urgent Care! Today, Tasha helps us out with General Practice appointments on Sundays while working toward another big goal: completing nursing school! 📚❤️ We're grateful for all the experience, dedication, and care she brings to our patients and team.
Since joining us in 2024, Victoria has become a familiar face to so many of our clients! Whether she's checking your pet in for a procedure or helping gather important information during appointment check-in, she's one of the friendly faces helping keep things running smoothly. And she's about to take an exciting next step! 🎓 Victoria starts Veterinary Technician school next week, and we couldn't be more excited to watch her grow and work toward becoming a licensed Veterinary Technician!

🐱💕 Double the Kittens, Double the Cuteness! 💕🐱

Meet MB (aka Mama’s Boy 😂💙) and Squiggles! These two adorable kittens visited Redmond Kirkland Animal Hospital for their neutering and spay procedures, and they did absolutely fantastic! 🐾

MB, all snuggled up in his blanket, and Squiggles, rocking her little bandage, were both ready to head home after a quick cat nap. 😴🐈 Because let's be honest, there are much more important things to do at home than hang out at the vet… like eating, napping, and being adorable! 😹💕

We’re so proud of these sweet babies and wish them a smooth recovery filled with lots of love, cozy naps, and extra cuddles! ❤️🐾

🐾💋 Warning: Surprise Kiss Attacks Ahead! 💋🐾

Meet Willow, a 3-year-old Border Collie who visited Redmond Kirkland Animal Hospital to see Dr. Wise for her annual exam and vaccination booster! ❤️

Willow was ALL about the treats and pets, but she had another mission on her agenda… surprise kiss attacks! 😘 And let's just say, she was VERY successful! 😂💕

Between the treats, the cuddles, and the unexpected smooches, Willow definitely knew how to make her visit extra special! 🥰🐶

We want to give our clients advance notice of an upcoming change. Beginning November 1, 2026, a 2.95% fee will automatically be added to payments made by credit card at Redmond Kirkland Animal Hospital.

We understand that nobody likes unexpected additional costs, especially when it comes to caring for their pets. This is a corporate-mandated change, and although our local team has voiced concerns about its impact on our clients, the policy is moving forward.

You can avoid this fee by paying with:

CareCredit or Scratchpay financing

Important for phone payments: Please be aware that payments made over the phone may be processed as credit card transactions and incur the 2.95% fee. Please confirm your payment method with our team before making a payment by phone.

🦷🐾 A Dental Day… and a Little Dognapping! 😂💕

Meet Tessa, our adorable 9-year-old patient who came into Redmond Kirkland Animal Hospital for her dental with Dr. Birchmeier! While she was here for her pearly whites, she apparently decided she had a few extra duties to take care of around the hospital. 😉

Our amazing VA Bree kept dognapping Tessa from her kennel, so she spent very little time in there today! Instead, she helped with charts, folded some laundry, and made sure everyone got their fair share of Tessa time. Talk about going above and beyond! 🐶📋🧺

And of course, we had to include one photo of her actual team today, because apparently Tessa had been busy building her own work schedule! 🤣❤️

Thanks for keeping us company, Tessa! We hope you enjoyed your day with us as much as we enjoyed having you here! 🐾💗

💙 Wishing You the Best, Meta! 💙

Today we say goodbye to one of our amazing team members, Meta, LVT, as she prepares to relocate back to the East Coast to be closer to her family.

Meta joined the Redmond Kirkland Animal Hospital family in September 2023, starting as an LVT in our Urgent Care department. When Urgent Care later merged into our General Practice, Meta continued on with us, becoming a familiar face in both appointments and procedures.

Over the past three years, Meta has brought her knowledge, dedication, support, and plenty of laughs to our team. She has made a lasting impact on both our patients and the people she worked alongside, and we are truly grateful for everything she has done for RKAH.

While we will definitely miss having her here, we are happy she is making this move to be closer to family. Thank you for everything, Meta! We wish you nothing but happiness and success in this next chapter. 💙🐾
