Calvoa orientalis ✨ Native to tropical parts of Africa, such as Cameroon and Tanzania. Calvoa sessiflora is widely accepted as a taxonomic synonym for Calvoa orientalis as orientalis describes the broader regional baseline type.

Some leaf cuttings made recently. Aquasoil is used as the substrate, flooded with water, and placed in a humidity dome/bin with low-med lighting. These cuttings should root in 4-6 weeks.

Did you know you can propagate labisia, ardisia, and emblemantha genera via leaf cutting?? It's super easy! Snip, place in/on substrate, and wait 4-8 weeks for roots before transplanting! I've also noticed that a seedling heat mat helps rooting as well.

Substrate recs: aquasoil, sphagnum, or chunky aroid mix

Tiny fragrant purple blooms! Schoenorchis fragrans is a beginner friendly miniature orchid that can be used in many types of growing conditions. Generally full water, allow to dry between waterings, medium lighting. Adjust watering/humidity depending on setup.
