❤️🐾 SOMEONE IS MISSING A VERY LOVED DOG!!!! 🐾❤️

This beautiful dog came into the City of Shasta Lake Animal Shelter as a stray, and I am DESPERATELY trying to find its person!!!!

A Good Samaritan found this dog in Summit City with this purple duck in its mouth!!! 🦆💜

Now let me tell you why I believe someone is missing their beloved family member!!!

This dog has clearly been VERY WELL CARED FOR!!! It was clean, smelled like perfume, and I even wondered if it had recently been groomed!!!

It was wearing a harness with its NAME ON IT, but unfortunately, there was NO phone number!!! It also had a leash attached!!

❤️ I KNOW IN MY HEART THIS DOG IS LOVED!!!! ❤️

For identification purposes, I am intentionally withholding the dog’s name and gender. Whoever comes forward to claim this dog will be required to provide proof of ownership!!!

Here is where my heart is struggling…

Our shelter has a 5-day stray hold, and once that hold is up, the dog can become available for adoption.

But I am having a REALLY hard time with the thought of adopting this dog out without doing everything I possibly can to find its person!!!!

Somewhere out there, someone could be desperately searching, crying, worrying, and wondering where their best friend is tonight!!! 💔

And this sweet dog can’t tell me where home is!!!

THAT PURPLE DUCK MAY BE THE KEY TO FINDING ITS FAMILY!!!! 🦆💜

Maybe someone recognizes the dog, the harness, or even that silly purple duck!!!

I don’t know the circumstances of how this dog ended up wandering around Summit City, but I DO KNOW I want to give its family every possible chance to bring it home!!!

RIP Marcus Leonardo. Marcus was the sweetest most hansom lab who passed away at the age of 9 years old. Marcus is survived by his human family Gary, Tami and Nikki Leonardo. Marcus we will love and miss you forever!

RIP Abby Sahm. Abby was the sweetest little chihuahua that passed away tragically at the age of 11 years old. Abby is survived by her human family Jennifer, Judy and Kaiya Sahm. Abby is also survived by her best doggie friends Cali and Charlotte. Abby we will miss you and love you forever. 😇

RIP Anna Dick. Anna was the sweetest little pomeranian who passed away at the age of 12 years old. Anna is survived by her human parents Larry & Lori Dick. Anna is also survived by all her doggie friends Annie, Shylo, Buckey, Zoey, Molly, Luna and all her kitty friends. Anna we will love and miss you forever!
