Cedar Rock Farm LLC Cedar Rock Farm LLC is a small family-run farm where we raise cows, chickens, pigs and care for a few horses that we enjoy. We do sell pigs and farm fresh eggs.

Our goal is to become more self-sufficient, and fully enjoy the beauty of farm life.

Had a little staff meeting with the hens tonight. 🐔😂

I had to address some serious performance concerns. Their egg production quotas have not been up to par lately, and quite frankly, management is disappointed.〽️

We discussed expectations, productivity, and the importance of pulling their weight around here. I made it very clear that if production doesn’t improve soon, some positions may be eliminated. 😳

They just stood there staring at me like they were going to call HR. 🤣

We’ll see what tomorrow’s numbers look like. Management will be watching. 🥚📋🐔

Sometimes things just don’t work out as planned. 😂

I wanted to clean up the weeds around the garden, so naturally I thought, “Let’s fire up the equipment and knock this out real quick.” Well… 30 minutes later, it still hasn’t started. 🤦‍♀️

I’m standing here in long pants, long sleeves, sweating like I’m trying to outrun the sun, and my arm is officially tired from fighting with this thing.

At this point, I have two choices:
Keep fighting with it and lose my mind.

Walk away, cool off, and pretend the weeds aren’t there. 😂

I’m leaning heavily toward option #2. The weeds aren’t going anywhere… unfortunately, neither is this stubborn piece of equipment! 🌱😂🚜

If you can’t have a good old-fashioned home-cooked meal, the next best thing is definitely Cracker Barrel! 😋🍽️

It may not be cooked in my kitchen, but at least it tastes like somebody’s grandma is back there making sure you’re fed! 😂❤️

Another foggy morning here at the farm. 🌫️

I guess even Mother Nature needs a little extra sleep sometimes. She sure knows how to make the mornings quiet and peaceful.

There’s just something special about stepping outside to do the morning chores while everything is wrapped in a soft blanket of fog. 🐴🐔🐷

No hustle, no noise—just the sounds of the farm waking up, one critter at a time. ❤️

I think I could get used to these slow, peaceful mornings. 🌾🌫️

The other night, I conducted my first official Salsa Canning Project. 🌶️🍅

I’m happy to report that the project was a complete success, with the jar properly processed and placed into the required 24-hour resting period.

The only challenge?

Keeping the VP of Cedar Rock Farm LLC from opening a jar before the mandatory rest period was complete.

Apparently, he felt the company needed an immediate quality-control inspection. 😂
But somehow, we made it through the first 24 hours.

On Hour 25, the jar was opened… and approximately HALF of it disappeared. 🤣

The final report from management:

“We need more.”

Apparently, this salsa has now been approved for the upcoming football season and hunt camp operations. 🏈🦌

Looks like the Salsa Department just got a new production quota! 🌶️😂
