Leo is a neutered 8yo guy and declawed on the front.

He is a very loving and cool kitty. He acclimates quickly and wants nothing more than to sit beside you or in your lap and just love YOU. ❤️

So that now that you have seen the shelter(hopefully)… Look who is inside!!

Some of these sweet faces you have seen before, like since way back from February(Tia,Ruby,Wylie and Ranger)!!!

Come in to our brand new place and find a brand new friend to take home. We have a cool yard to visit in with them and they deserve to find their families. They have been really patient.
Even if you are on the fence, just come meet them, meet us, see the new place, pretty please!

What a paws-itively special event! ✂️ 🐾 On Friday, May 8, we celebrated the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of the newly renovated Red Oak Animal Care & Control facility!

After 18 months of construction and a $2.5 million investment, the facility expanded from 1,900 sq. ft. to 5,000 sq. ft. and includes improved kennels, shaded outdoor play areas, meet & greet rooms, upgraded staff spaces, dedicated intake/isolation areas, and an overall more welcoming experience for residents and visitors alike.

During the Grand Opening, guests had the opportunity to tour the facility, meet adoptable pets, and see firsthand how this space will support better care, increased adoptions, and stronger community involvement for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate this major milestone with us, and thank you to the staff, project partners, volunteers, and City leadership who helped make this vision a reality.

Happy Monday!

We have been busy busy getting things moved into our new building and are finally able to
take a sec introduce this little one…

Meet Cedar! He is a little floof of 10-11w old. Male livestock guardian type dog? He is available now and is as cute in person. Very playful and eager to learn.

Come meet him in person. We promise you won’t be disappointed.

Just another day at Animal Control! 😅🐾 From bear-sized dogs to tiny puppies to wild visitors like raccoons and opossums… you never know what a day may bring! As Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week wraps up, big shoutout to Amy, Sadie, and Christina for handling it all with patience, skill, and a whole lot of heart! 💙

Eastridge Elementary students showed up BIG for our Animal Shelter 🐶🦴💙

This week, our team visited their campus to pick up a supply donation collected for a service project. While we were there, students got to meet our Animal Control Officers, learn what they do, and hang out with one of our adoptable pups, Wylie 🐾

Wylie is great with kids and loved making new friends during the visit. He is a talker, and while he can be a timid guy at first, he warms up quickly. Interested in giving Wylie a forever home? Call 469-218-7721 to learn more about adoption.
