🐱 Cat Grooming FAQ 🐱

We're answering some common cat grooming questions in today's video and clearing up a few things we hear all the time 👀

A few extras we didn't fit in:

✂️ Why is it so hard to find a cat groomer?
Cat grooming is notoriously difficult and can be more dangerous than dog grooming. It takes specially trained, experienced groomers like Kat and Hanna who understand feline behavior and can safely handle cats.

✂️ Can cats get haircuts?
Yes — sometimes haircuts are necessary due to matting. In many cases, shaving is the safest, most comfortable, and most humane option.

💅 Can I bring my cat in just for a nail trim?
Absolutely! We offer walk-in cat nail trims every Friday from 10–3.

Tipping Etiquette: What You Need to Know

As we approach our busy season, we wanted to share a little reminder about tipping etiquette in the grooming world! ✂️🐾

Tipping is never required, but always appreciated—especially for the hard work our groomers put into making your pups look and feel their best. A standard tip in our industry is usually 15–20% of your grooming bill.

You may want to consider tipping if:
•You have a larger dog 🐕
•You have a puppy or a senior ✨
•Your dog struggles with being groomed 💕
•Your dog has a double coat or curly coat 🐩
•Or, simply, you’re really happy with the results! 🌟

Every tip goes directly to our groomers as a thank-you for their time, care, and dedication. We are so grateful for the support you give our team—not just during the holidays, but year-round! ❤️

MOBILE GROOMING: IS IT RIGHT FOR YOUR DOG?

Mobile grooming has become increasingly popular, and for some pets and families, it can be an amazing option! While some dogs thrive, others may find it's not the best fit. Like any grooming option, it isn’t automatically the best choice for every pet or every family.

It is important to make sure pet owners understand the differences so they can choose what truly works best for their dog — not just what sounds most convenient. Every dog has different needs, personalities, behaviors, and comfort levels.

Some things many people don't always consider with mobile grooming:

🐾 Limited space can be more stressful for some dogs
🐾 Some services may require access to a water hookup or electrical hookup
🐾 You need a safe place for the van/trailer to park and maneuver
🐾 Costs are often higher due to travel time, fuel, equipment, and overhead
🐾 Tightly scheduled routes can sometimes mean less flexibility and time to work and bond with your dog
🐾 Some dogs benefit from a larger salon environment or multiple staff members available if extra help is needed

While mobile grooming isn't “bad,” many pet parents find that traditional grooming settings are better for their dogs. The goal is to find the environment where your pet feels safest, most comfortable, and can have the best overall experience. One dog may thrive in a mobile setup while another may do better in a traditional salon — and that's okay 🖤

At the end of the day, the best grooming option is the one that works best for your dog, as their comfort, safety, and happiness are the priority! 🐶✂️
