Good morning, everyone! We are www.wagyoureitpetcare.com and we offer personalized pet-sitting/dog walks in your home/neighborhood as well as other pet services as listed on our website. We have availability remaining for overnight care from 9/7-10/4, 10/21-11/11, & 11/30 through 2027. For walks we currently have availability every day of the week/weekend. Cats are the most flexible to schedule so we can usually accommodate those requests easily. Reach out to schedule a meet & greet and let us know when we can help care for your pets!

The Town Clerk’s Office has mailed the 2026 Annual Census, which includes your dog licensing worksheet. All dogs in Reading must be licensed by March 31, so please be sure to review, complete, and return your form as soon as possible. Dogs can also be licensed online here: https://readingma.portal.opengov.com/categories/1092.

You can return your census and dog licensing forms by mail, in person at the Town Clerk’s Office, or by using the white drop box outside Town Hall. Questions? Contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 781-942-9050

Brrrr 🥶 it is frozen out there! Ice can be dangerous for animals, beyond just being slippery and presenting fall risks.

Many ice melts contain chemicals that can burn paw pads and cause illness if licked. Choose pet-safe ice melt whenever possible, and wipe your dog’s paws with a damp cloth after walks to remove salt and debris.

Dog boots can also help protect paws from sharp ice, cold temperatures, and chemical irritation, especially for dogs who are sensitive or walk frequently on treated sidewalks. Not every dog will tolerate these, but you can start slowly and get them used to boots at a young age to help!

In addition, frozen ponds, lakes, and puddles can look solid but may not support an animal’s weight. Each winter, pets and wildlife are seriously injured after falling through thin ice. For everyone’s safety, keep dogs leashed near icy water and never allow them to walk onto frozen surfaces.

Hi there! 👋🏼 We would love to care for your pets so reach out as soon as you know when you’ll need us because our calendar is filling up faster than ever! We are currently completely booked for all walks/visits occurring between 10am and 2pm Mondays through Fridays as well as for all overnights during the following dates:

January 29th
February 2nd
February 5th through 22nd
February 28th
March 12th through March 29th
April 2nd through April 30th
May 15th through May 17th
June 5th through June 7th
June 21st through August 7th
August 11th
October 5th through October 20th
November 12th through November 20th

As of now, overnight care in your home is available on any dates not listed above.

We look forward to meeting you and your pets!
