It happens… sometimes even the hungriest pups and kitties turn their noses up at a new food 🐶🐱

Just like us, pets have preferences—and it can take a few tries to find what they actually love. When food gets rejected, it often ends up going unused… and that’s where our community can make a difference 💛

Our community pet food bank is always in need of donations to help keep pets fed and families supported. Every bag or can helps—even the ones your pet said “no thanks” to!

📍 Donation drop-offs:
• South Bend – 2nd & 4th Saturdays
• Raymond – every Saturday

We can also occasionally meet up or help with pick-ups if needed!

Every kitten deserves a future—but not every litter needs to happen. 💛

Our Last Litter Program is designed to break the cycle of unwanted litters while supporting both cats and their caregivers. Here’s how it works: if your cat has had, or is getting ready to have a litter, we’ll help care for and find loving homes for the kittens and ensure mom is spayed before going back home—so this can be her last litter.

By participating, you’re not only giving these kittens the best possible start, you’re also helping reduce overcrowding in shelters and improving the long-term health of your cat. It’s a compassionate, proactive step toward a better future for animals in our community.

🐾 Safe support for mom and babies
🐾 Adoption placement for kittens
🐾 Spay surgery for mom before returning home

Our next big one is the Garage, Bake & Plant Sale Fundraiser happening May 22–24! 🎉

We will be accepting donations for all three areas (garage sale items, baked goods, and plants) during the week and day of the event. If you have garage sale items you’d like to donate sooner and need them out of the way, we’re happy to help with that too!

Black cats are some of the most overlooked pets in shelters, don’t you think it’s time to change that? 🖤

Studies and shelter reports have shown that black cats often experience longer shelter stays and lower adoption rates compared to lighter-colored cats. In some shelters, they can wait up to twice as long to be adopted. 🥺

But in reality…
They’re just as loving, playful, and loyal—if not more. The only thing different is their color.

Let’s break the stigma. Let’s get these beauties seen. Let’s get them a forever home. 🐾

Thankful this Thursday 💛🐾

Our big-eyed, tall girl Zoe and sweet, silly Todd both found their homes this week, and it’s the kind of happy that sticks with you. Zoe, with those eyes that always felt like she was trying to tell you something, and Todd, who never missed a chance for attention… it’s just so good knowing they’re exactly where they’re meant to be now.

The spaces they left behind feel a little different—but in the best way.

Here’s to soft landings, full food bowls, and people who already adore them more than anything. We’re so thankful for endings like these ✨
