๐Ÿฑ This kitty here is โ€œMamaโ€
Due to her owner needing more assisted living and care of her own, Mama is looking for a family for her love and care as well.

๐Ÿˆ Mama is a very easy going cat, she is spayed and is going on 14 years old. She has no health concerns and is up to date on vaccinations. She was around other cats in her previous home.

โ™ฅ๏ธ She loves snuggles, affection and attention but also likes her independence.

๐Ÿ  Please help us share to find the home and family Mama deserves! In the meantime she resides at the clinic. If you would like to meet her please message or call the clinic and we can arrange that!

We would like to thank Stacia Paitz for choosing to follow SLVC over the last two weeks on one of her many 4th year veterinary externship/clinical rotations!

It was an honor to host a future veterinarian. Stacia got to practice her clinical and surgical skills with us. We also had farm calls from horse dentals to ultrasounding cows and weaning calves. She will be an amazing vet. We hope she enjoyed it here as much as we did having her.

Stacia is interested in returning to Nebraska to practice in a mixed animal setting! We wish her the best with the remaining clinical year and her boards! ๐Ÿ„ ๐Ÿ– ๐Ÿˆ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ• ๐ŸŽ

๐Ÿˆ In the last week of August we put on our clinicโ€™s Feral Feline Frenzy (a little earlier this year). We were able to spay and neuter 66 cats in 5 mornings! That included 27 females and 39
males!

๐Ÿพ We will look forward to continuing to offer this clinic and thought it really fit our clinic schedule nicely to offer in late August instead of October. Watch out for this next year to help control the farm cat or stray cat population in our area.

โญ๏ธ We couldnโ€™t have done it without the great people who participate in this clinic and bring us the cats! Thank you all!

๐Ÿฑ Just on the female side, if each cat reproduced and had 4 kittens (on the low end) in a litter and had 2 litters a year, we prevented 216 strays, sick or feral cats or unwanted litters from wandering around without homes or ending up in shelter situations.

Happy National Dog Day!! ๐Ÿถ ๐Ÿพ

Perdita came to see us! She is our (area) rare breed of the week. Can you guess her breed!? ๐Ÿ˜œ

She is 8 weeks old and was the happiest puppy yesterday getting lots of attention.

Share your puppies, dogs, herd workers, companions and best friends with us in the comments! We would love to see them! ๐Ÿ•

๐Ÿ“† As we approach Labor Day and our office hours changing back, Tuesday September 8th, we will be getting ready for one of our favorite seasons yet -preg check and weaning season!

๐Ÿฅฉ We are looking forward to contributing to the success of your operation - from vaccination and deworming protocols to early pregnancy detection, starting your replacement heifers off right and giving your first calf heifers what they need for their first calving. And MORE!

๐ŸŒฝโ€ฆโ€ฆmight be getting a little ahead of ya because, well, harvest. But October and November will be here before we know it!

In the mean time, God, please continue to give us a few good showers, but also just enough sunlight to fill the ears full with kernels! Amen!๐Ÿ™
